Was dated in areas
Noisy floors . Looked as if a good clean required but passable. Bed linen marks visible as not changed or laundered correctly . Shower cold and told it would heat when boilers kicked in. Reported this but offered no solution

It's pleasant there. For what you pay for it's clean. Pillows poor I had to DBL them. Blinds too short for window. Unfortunately first night I could not sleep well very noisy guests fighting but can't fault hotel. Hot water does take a while to come through, all rounder it's pleasant. They had karaoke on. There is fish and chips next door. It would help if deposits were on card as I had to go get cash. However homebase is 2 Min away for cash and picked up a few bargains.

Bathroom was clean & towels supplied.
Nice room space.
Hotel looked run down.
Lack of parking - had to park 5/10 mins away with two young children & suitcases. Not ideal.
Bar very run down as well as the carpets - needs updating. No heating in the toilets down stairs - freezing.
We was on the 3rd floor - no help with pushchair or bags etc. No one really around to ask for help. Receptionist spoke in her own language to another member of staff.
Good view - but got woken up half 6 due to the whistling wind through the windows. (Even recorded the noise on my phone) blinds didn’t fully close - so light came in.
Couldn’t wait to leave.

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, the rooms were immaculate and comfy.
The only downside is how early we have to be out of the accommodation as we would've have preferred to be able to stay in the rooms till about 2pm so then we wouldn't have to carry luggage around town with us while waiting for the coach and trains

Unfortunately I have to give a not so good review for the Royal Windsor hotel, as an avid traveller who has stayed in hundreds of BnBs and Hotels, for a hotel that sits on the sea front I was highly disappointed, on arrival staff were friendly and gave us our key, I had requested a travel cot when booking the hotel through booking.com but never had a response so we questioned about it at arrival, they said they would look for one for us, after a while they had forgotten to look for one so my partner went down to find out what was going on, only to be told we would be charged an extra £10 after already paying for a bed for our child which was included in the price,.
The mattress needed replacing, our shower wouldn't work unless we ran the sink tap first, furniture was broken so my partner took photos just incase, it wasn't very clean (in fact the remote for example was infested in bacteria and the remote hadn't been cleaned in years).. it was disgusting, we had to pay a £50 deposit to stay in our room which was already broken and uncomfortable, no chef was on site so upon arrival we found that they wouldn't be serving breakfast which was a massive disappointment, the hospitality after was appalling in all fairness and wasn't quite used to that sort of service, I travel alot to Blackpool and have stayed in many BnBs and hotels and we had higher expectations given what we saw on booking.com, luckily we stayed away from the hotel as much as possible as it was a major downer on our stay and I felt guilty for my son who couldn't even have a comfortable stay himself, this place needs to be more accommodating, maybe charge a deposit but don't take advantage out of families with babies and toddlers who have already paid for a bed to then pay extra for a cot bed, I find it to be ridiculous and quite poor management in all honesty, if a family pay for there child to sleep in a bed and are too small to sleep in a proper bed and you have travel cots to provide then you should provide a travel cot like most hotels in Blackpool, they don't then charge extra, maybe a deposit yes but never have I heard of a parent having to pay twice or extra amounts for there child to sleep comfortably and safely? Couldn't wait to go back home and yet we went away hoping for a relaxing break, it was far from it unfortunately and I have to be honest.

location was good but unfortunately it was raining so did nt get to see much apart from seagulls ,,room was nice and warm bed was comfy
as we arrived we had to pay a deposit of £50 thats for damages or stealing ..we went to our room there was nothing in there to damage really ...the sink taps and the shower was cold water only .so could nt really get a shower ..we paid over £100 and got told by the owner that they will be no breakfast as there isnt a chef or anyone to cook ,he told us that there was a cafe at the back street ..did nt see much of the owner so we had to buy our own toilet roll

The location is good
So this hotel does not look like this most of that sign is not there the paint has gone. The floor in our room was so uneven it felt like we were on a ship. The bathroom was tiny and you couldn’t fit the kettle under the tap to fill it.

Nothing
Turned up at the hotel in the dark wind and rain with 3 kids and a load of luggage, waited 10 minutes for someone to actually come to the desk, asked to fill in a form and then told that actually we can't stay here now and booking.com should have rang us but they didn't. No compassion, empathy or any attempt to help us in a stressful situation with a young family and no where to stay, guy couldn't care less. Would avoid like the plague.

The rundown facade faces the beach, the rear faces atire repair shop. The lobby is run down, it looks like a squatters shack,
The whole town, that I saw, was a sleazy excuse for a beach holiday.

The location was perfect. The decor was lovely and fresh and the cleanliness couldn’t be faulted.
Bar quite expensive and lack of entertainment didn’t create much of an atmosphere

The staff wer all lovely expecially Sarah at the front desk, great location , made our 2 little grandsons very welcome and want to go back. For the price we paid it was excellent and a great base we only slept in the room and shower to go out, beds wer clean and comfy, what more could we want had a drink in the bar when we came back in at night and boys loved playing pool in the bar before bed x forgot kettle tea and coffee also in the room , just remember this is a very old building which is in the process of getting renovated which takes time and alot of money.
Wish they did breakfast but as out of season didn't have a cook ,but again Sarah at front desk recommended near by places. She also recommended a great steak house for a meal which was defo 5 star.

The staff
The place is scruffy , the rooms tiny 2 small towels on the bed and a tiny box of soap , had to move the kettle to plug it in and the few from the window , the blind was ill fitting was the worst I’ve ever seen , not sure how it can call itself a hotel , it’s no more than a bed n breakfast , will not ever book again

lovely staff (raul) at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel room was nice and clean i have 2 small children and a newborn and there was plenty of space. My only issue is bathroom was very small but thats fine however sink was so small and couldnt barely use to wash babys bottles or clean the kettle (descaled 4 times to use for babys milk) just a little upgrade on the toilet sink otherwise great value for money and also location was perfect right on the promenade and next to halal food shops. Lovely stay and would stay again
Toilet and sink could barely use sink

Absolutely nothing it needs to be closed down!
Taken my two little girls for the weekend went into the room and wow dirty carpet dark room, beds shocking dirty old worn out quilt the quilt cover didn’t fit it,then the mattress full of urine stains, one of the wall light glass missing dirty blinds absolutely not big enough for 3 people.bathroom no room whatsoever constant cold water.creaking floor boards in the room and outside on lobby.one morning heard lots of water and it was leaking threw bad from upstairs rooms shower and they have the cheek to ask for a cash deposit of £50 when you arrive for damages, they should pay you to stay to be fair! This place is a disgrace and should not open to the public.

Room very basic ,had to boil kettle on floor level as cord did not reach from unit to multi plug adapter few issues with bed, toilet ,shower quiet a few damages in room suggest you take pictures upon entering room as they charge £50 cash deposit upon arrival which is returned after check out but you have to wait till they check the room first.
Family rooms are on 2nd floor 4 flights of stairs. Tea,coffee ,milk you get 4 teabags ,4 coffees sachets and 8 little pots of milk for the day for four adults and 5 mth baby. Bar and food is cash only

Location was perfect within easy walking distance to central pier, where event was happening but far enough away to be quieter and calmer.
Room was a good size fitted a double bed and a single bed with plenty of space around. There were two windows in the room and they opened at the top so plenty of fresh air. En-suite was okay a wee bit on the narrow side I had to squeeze past the washbasin to get to the loo ( I am not a small woman so probably not a problem to others.) Shower water temperature and pressure was excellent.
Beds were very clean and well presented two pillows each very good.
Unfortunately the Wi-Fi which we logged into free of charge in the public lounge dropped as we climbed to second floor to our room we could not get it at all in our room.
Stating we climbed the stairs because there is no lift in the hotel which could be a problem for someone with mobility issues.
