We really loved the historic charm of the property Our room was lovely and cosy. The bed was very comfortable. The host and breakfast in the dining room exceptional.
There was nothing not to like about the property
9 / 10Outstanding·Oct 2026
Loved being in a character building with all the mod cons and loved the huge central table to gather around.
Maybe a couch in the main living/kitchen area as lounge room was not an appealing space to gather and relax, no light and no view of garden.

Comfortable bed, room was reasonably spacious
Steep and narrow stairway to bedrooms, located at the top of a very steep hill from the city centre, no personal touch, crowded & noisy breakfast room, the hosts completely ignored us. Shame, it’s a grand old house but not suitable for us
