Stillwater Seven

Stillwater Seven was genuinely one of the best accommodation experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, it somehow felt like we were the only guests there; quiet, intimate and incredibly special. The room was moody, modern and beautifully designed, with thoughtful references to the building’s history throughout. Every detail felt considered. The minibar and snacks were exceptional, filled with local products, very reasonably priced, and honestly a foodie’s dream. Breakfast was just as special, with fresh granola and yoghurt each morning and warm croissants hand-delivered to our door. The location is perfect and peaceful, with beautiful river views, but still only just outside the centre of Launceston. And the restaurant downstairs was hands down the best meal we had during our time in Launceston. For a romantic getaway, especially if you love good food and wine, it would be very hard to beat. What could easily have felt like a simple “room above a restaurant” stay was instead incredibly luxurious, thoughtful and memorable. Stillwater Seven showcases Tasmania beautifully and was one of the absolute highlights of our trip. 10/10 we would recommend it without hesitation

Location brilliant, staff were awesome. The rooms small but well appointed.

Breakfast included is a joke. A couple of jars of yoghurt and granola with a coffee pod machine and 2 croissant is frankly ridiculous. All amongst hugely over priced mini bar items. The split system air con filters were caked in dust. The restaurant was disappointing, it all looked nice but my lamb was over cooked and coated with a sauce that was over powering in flavour. In fairness my partner’s meal was incredible so it’s hot and miss. Our wine was decanted but I had to go and get it myself as no one noticed our glasses were empty. It’s quite expensive for such an average experience.
