Room was super clean. Modern & possibly recently refurbished. Had everything I needed - appreciated the coffee bags for my early morning coffee. Comfortable bed & great shower. Easy walking distance to all the local attractions, shops, weekend food market & many places for lunch & dinner. Felt safe with good security. Appreciate being able to store my bags before check in time. Didn’t try the continental breakfast, wasn’t sure it was actually on offer as it didn’t look like there was anything set up, but I didn’t ask either. There was a lovely older Asian couple using the common area & helping with restocking tea etc in the rooms. Their English was virtually non-existent but they communicated with a translate app & meant well.

It was very frustrating having to communicate with the staff using a translation app on their mobile phone. It was a very weird vibe, it was not like a normal hotel, it felt like you were in their house and they were keeping an eye on you. I went for an early morning walk and came back finding one of the staff closing my room door? When I questioned him he muttered something in his native language (which I couldn’t understand) and he walked away… The bed was extremely firm as well and had no top sheet either? Just a doona cover….
