Hotel with some clear downsides, but breakfast and location are definite highlights

Outstanding breakfast, genuinely attentive staff, and a prime location just a short walk from the beach and the main high street. The room stayed comfortably cool thanks to effective AC and a large ceiling fan — perfect if you prefer to avoid AC overnight. The bed was generously sized, and the smart TV was a nice extra.

Overall, the property feels quite dated and heavily worn. The gym is a tiny room that didn’t seem well maintained: it was dirty, there was no disinfectant available to clean the equipment before/after use, and there were only three machines in total — one of which was broken. On our first day we planned to use the stairs instead of the elevator, but the staircase was so filthy it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months, which was honestly unpleasant. The internet was also quite slow. It’s fine for basic browsing, but if you need to work remotely or do video calls, it may not be reliable (it wasn’t for me). Finally, the overall “guest mix” felt not very international during our stay, with many guests seeming to come from the same tour groups. If you’re looking for a more cosmopolitan vibe, it’s worth being aware of this in advance. In conclusion, it was a 3* superior hotel overselling an old facility as a 4* just because there is a nice pool.

Staff are amazing

The staff were attentive and pleasant at all times. The room was large light and airy. Bed & pillows were very comfortable. Good bathroom area and shower. Large balcony overlooking the pool.

The main pool area seldom had enough sunbeds for all guests that wanted them. We found the roof top pool a lovely area however there are no parasols or shade from the sun and it gets extremely hot up there.

Well located hotel that provided a great base for our week away in Krabi. Friendly team delivering wonderul hospitality

Great location, easy walk to beach and restaurants. Room was spacious with lovely view of sea. Rooftop pool (full sun) and ground level pool (mix of shade & sun) provided great options as was very hot so wanted shade for part of day. Extensive morning buffet breakfast with fresh cooked omelettes / noodle stand. Friendly staff.

Lovely hotel, great location and friendly staff

Staff very friendly, prompt responses using the app chat function Lovely pools, lots of selection at breakfast, rooms were good size and great views. Location was perfect, short walk to the main road with shops and restaurants Good happy hours at the bars for drinks

Our room was an adjoining room with lockable doors inbetween which meant you could hear everything from next door. One night neighbours were ridiculously loud at 1am, not hotels fault but having this style room did not help - the hotel did deal with the issue thankfully Could do with some umbrellas on the rooftop pool for shade The shuttle service to the beach club is not regular enough - we had a 6pm reservation for dinner and only shuttle options were 5:10pm and 6:10pm. Even every 30 mins would be better Also far too many notifications on the app, I’d get 10+ a day often repeating the same things which became slightly annoying towards the end.

We found we had a heap of mosquitos getting into our room. We were on the ground level so requested a higher building the next night. Better but mozzies were still getting in. Something to be mindful of (being higher I imagine would be better).

Our stay at Panan Krabi Resort was absolutely wonderful. The resort is beautifully designed, modern, and very well maintained. The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and extremely comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day out. The staff truly made the experience special — everyone was warm, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. The location is excellent, close to the beach, shops, and restaurants, yet peaceful enough to enjoy a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The facilities, especially the pool area and breakfast spread, were impressive and added great value to our stay. Everything was well organized and exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend Panan Krabi Resort to anyone visiting Krabi and would definitely love to stay here again.

Everything. Excellent standard of facilities and comfort. Helpful staff throughout. Breakfast was enormous and very tasty. Spa was superb. Excellent location, 30 seconds walk to the shops and restaurant yet a quiet environment. 5 minutes to beach.

The gym is like a goldfish bowl due to its clear glass and its position by the pool/restaurant/pathway to rooms. It stopped me using it all holiday. Covering the bottom part with some obscuring covering would have changed that.

Room spacious, private pool good, arranged transport for day out easily with friendly transport staff.

Check-in slow had to wait for room even after arriving later than estimated. Property has too many steps & slippery when wet. At breakfast, poor behaviour of some clientele was ignored by staff. Quality of food at breakfast was below standard.

Exceeded our expectations

We spent 8 days at Panan and we just loved everything about this Hotel. We are already looking forward to coming back next year. Location is great and next to everything we needed. 10mins walk to the beach and restaurants, 30m walk from the ao nang night market and next to a 7 Eleven. Reception was good and friendly. The staff is friendly and attentive. Every time we asked for something they were happy to help us. Both checkin and checkout went smoothly. We could also leave our luggage there after checkout. They have an App, which was very handy and easy to use. We could schedule the room cleaning and order anything we needed through it. It was very helpful for us. Our room looked towards the pool. It was calm and there was no noise from outside. Room was spacious with some space to pack as well. Beds are comfortable. We were concerned about the bathroom glass sticker but there was no privacy problem. Rooms were cleaned everyday (not very deeply though) . AC worked well and was also clean. TV worked well and had many channels. The Breakfast was the highlight for us. Since we spent a full week there, we were afraid that it would be bor ing. Fortunately it was not even close. Breakfast was brilliant with many options and slightly different everyday. From fruits, salads, local Thai food, continental breakfast options, soup, muesli, yoghurt, sweets and vegetarian options, they had everything. And the outside area with the egg, soup and dessert stands are really a plus. Coffee was also very good. Gym is very small but everything worked well. There is also a small water machine. And it was open 24hrs, which is very good for early birds. The Vibe of the Resort was the second highlight. The pools and trees gave a very good feeling. The pools are very nice and clean and there is always a happy hour somewhere :D The view from the top floor pool is great and the bar is always playing some music. Downstairs is more chilled if you are looking for some quiet though.

These are smaller development areas, in my opinion, that would have made our experience perfect. The room was very humid, and our clothes were constantly moist. The AC had a "Dry" option, but it wasn’t very effective. There are a lot of mosquitoes in this area, but no mosquito nets are installed. As a result, we didn’t open the windows at all to avoid being bitten. Installing nets on the doors would help with both ventilation and reducing humidity in the room. Daily cleaning was good but quite superficial. We noticed that mirrors remained dirty, the floor wasn’t always mopped, and toiletries weren’t replaced. Lastly, there are no toilets near the gym. You have to go all the way to the reception, which can be inconvenient during a workout session.

Really impressive hotel with great facilities, and a great location. Would really recommend if you are staying in Ao Nan

We had the private whirlpool room, which was amazing. There was also the swim up bar, and the sky bar with a pool so plenty of places for you to relax. Breakfast selection was good and the location was also really good as well, as was far enough away from the Ao Nang Nightmarket/beach that you weren’t in the crowds, but it was a short taxi ride to get to there when you wanted to go

Do yourself a favour and stay at this hotel!

This is our second time staying at Panan due to how much we loved it the first time, and somehow, they superseded our expectations yet again! Facilities were fantastic as always, and the staff were that perfect balance of friendly yet professional, always going above and beyond to help you at any point that they can regardless of whether they actually need to. Cocktails in both pool bars were fantastic! Khet, Pim, and Best were super consistent and also so fun to chat throughout the day! May and Jah were superstars on the catamaran tour we attended with the hotel, and Sun from the rec team was always around to ask how our stay was going and offer advise on things to do in the area. We can't wait to visit again! For the price range, Panan is by far the best hotel to stay at in Ao Nang 🫶

Amazing Stay!

I booked to celebrate my birthday, and they really did an arrangement for my birthday! I got a birthday cake and an adorable decoration! The room is so stunning as what i imagined! i got really nice private pool room with a spectacular view. The hotel vibe is just what i am looking for my holiday. My son really enjoy the stay!

Disappointing and uncomfortable :(

Location is great, near to food stalls, watsons, 7e, walking distance from a massage parlour and 100 baht store. Not that far from the beach and same row as the ticket counter for long tail boat. The hotel looks beautiful and clean, breakfast is good but I feel like there is room for improvement. And a big thanks to house keeping who changed our sheets at 9pm.

The humidity in the rooms! The sheets and floors ended up wet and damp was so uncomfortable to sleep and walk around in the room. Even the clothes in our luggage and our equipment was affected. We called the front desk and they seem aware of the air conditioning problem so we requested to change rooms however it took hours for the morning shift to respond. They waited till noon shift arrived and only then we got attended to wasted half of our day. To be honest the management could have upgraded our room. They seem to try really hard to find a room the was the same cost but they all had the same damp problem. You can feel it in the sheets which made it hard to sleep.

The 2 bedroom 2 bathroom family suite offered good space for our family of 2 adults and 2 teenage kids. The daily activities at the resort was good family bonding.

Staying on the first floor with a view facing a big water drain and there were lots of mosquitoes. This meant we kept the 3 balconies closed all the 4 days we were there.

We stayed for a few nights at this resort and we had a great time. I can't fault anything with this resort. The hotel was beautiful, the room was spacious with a big comfortable bed and I can't put into words how beautiful the view was from our room. The hotel was perfectly located and it took no more than a few minutes to walk to the beach staff friendly and helpful, food was delicious and the pool was amazing. it's a great place to relax with a few cold drinks and admire the view. I recommend this hotel to everyone

Very nice location. Scenic view of the ocean and the cliff. Nice staff. Great room, great bed, clean and well maintained bathroom. Has patio / gallery, easy to light up a smoke if you're into it. Very clean and well maintained premises.

Breakfast was good probably one of best I've seen, but needs more seats. Way too busy if you get there at the wrong time.

The roof top bar needs to reflect product offering as the bottom pool bar. Not enough advertising at the roof top pool bar. Roof top bar should be adults ONLY. The pool should be cleaned regularly (hourly), noticed there was peoples snot, hair and bugs in the water (yuk). I appreciate lots of European and Indian's visit this hotel, however I was disappointed there was no English-speaking channels.

Their service needs improvement.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by the deterioration of the hotel's service level. Even though we asked every morning for our rooms to be cleaned and tidied up, they didn't do it twice, day after day. Each time we returned around 5:00 PM after a full day of sightseeing and discovered that our rooms had not been cleaned and tidied up. It was really annoying. After we complained, they came and tidied up, but we had to wait on the balcony for them to do it. Another thing, nothing dries in this hotel. You hang swimsuits and clothes to dry both in the room and on the balcony, and everything stays very damp and smells bad, like mold.

Being stolen from for the first time

The location is great. The room is nice and big with a great view

1. The room was cleaned very late ( sometimes after 5PM) and quite sloppy at that. Sometimes they didn't throw the garbage after cleaning and not once did they clean the balcony. We also found some hair on the floor and bedsheets upon checkin 2. There was occasional smell of fecal water near the kids pool. While it wasn't all the time - it did happen more than once 3. We realised we were missing some bills from the money which we kept in a bag in the room after housekeeping service. When we raised this issue with the hotel they told us that we should have kept the money in the safe and that they will investigate this further. They never got back to us - not even apologised and the manager tried very hard to pretend we don't exist each time we walked by her. 4. We stayed for 7 nights and not once did we see the public pool to be cleaned from leaves, dead insects or garbage. Overall - it looks like the hotel management doesn't mind to employ people which are stealing from the hotel guests.
