The breakfast comprises rice with sauces but one may bring one's own cereal or whatever. The location of the guesthouse is excellent with the #2 or #18 bus going directly to the business hub and beyond. Moreover the guesthouse is a 10 minute walk from Shin-Kobe (but don't rely upon Google maps).

The ablution area is minimal but seems to serve well enough for quantity of guests that happened to be there.

Its very comfortable, wide sleeping area and a small locker for you to keep your important stuffs throughout your stay. But, theres only two showers, and no women only shower. For those who mind, its probably a small downside.
The kitchen area is clean and its a nice place to stay for a solo traveller
Its located on top of a hill, so expect some climbing. Its a little bit tough pushing a luggage up the hill but, i guess if you’re a backpacker and fit enough, you probably wont mind

The breakfast was fun and the location was good, close to the mountain and the shinkansen station but a little far from downtown by foot.
The guest house had more a feeling of a youth hostel than a guesthouse. The shared areas are very small and can feel a bit crowded if there is more than one group at once. The biggest inconvenient for me was the noise from the hallway and other rooms. The walls are very thin and if some guests are not respectful or not careful with noise level it can be very difficult to sleep and get some rest. The rates seemed a bit expensive for what you get.
