Onsen Guesthouse HAKONE TENT

The location is very convenient and close to Gora station. The directions to the guesthouse shared was also very useful navigating. The staff there are very friendly and helpful, so feel free to converse with them. I also really enjoyed the onsen facilities after a long day of exploring - they are private (one group in-used at a time), and there are shower facilities if you're up for it. There's a balcony up there too to enjoy the cool air of the night, which is especially nice when drinking the beer bought from the guesthouse bar.

A lovely stay in Hakone - it was cool to get the experience of sleeping on a futon! Rooms are reasonable size and set-up with bedding (you can ask for an extra futon). The private onsen was great and good booking system for this to reserve a spot each day for your room. Good location and with the new cafe just down the road for a breakfast option as well.

Thin walls/doors with the more traditional set-up, unfortunately some other guests one of the days were very loud. Shared bathrooms but these were fine.

The staff was super friendly and helped us a lot. The property offered everything we needed and we were close to train and restaurants.

I am not used to sleep on futon beds but the staff offered us a second layer which helped. The rooms are a bit noisy because of the thin walls.

The best part of this stay is the onsen and the staff who are all very friendly.

Stayed in the large family room and it had a terrible musky odor that smelled like something fermented. Beds on the floor were not comfortable despite using an extra futon mattress. It’s very basic, but the onsen made up for what was lacking.
