Best hostel in this area. Everything was clean and the stuff was super nice. We even played Mario in the Nintendo and one of the guys played the guitar, I had such a good time there.

Had 3 great nights here; close to lake and convenience markets for your meals and drinks; young lady receptionist was extremely helpful and speaks good English for we international travelers. Would definitely stay again.

was assigned a top bunk, which I found structurally hazardous and unsuitable for older guests. The gap between the ladder and the bunk bed was quite wide, and I almost lost my balance and fell while climbing up. It felt especially dangerous at night when guests needed to get up to use the toilet. Serious injuries could easily occur if someone were to lose their footing while climbing down the wide-gap three-step ladder. If you decide to stay here, my sincere advice is to specifically request a bottom bunk.
Unfortunately, cleanliness was also a major concern. The upstairs toilet was not properly cleaned and had a bad smell. There were no washrooms upstairs near the women-only room, so guests had to use the downstairs facilities, which were dirty and poorly maintained. The floor mats were almost always wet, making the washroom area feel unhygienic and uncomfortable.
I was not feeling very well during my stay, although I felt fine while out exploring Hakone. After returning to the accommodation, I expected a clean and well-cared-for place to rest, not a neglected environment with unsafe bunk beds and poorly maintained facilities.
The only positive aspect was the convenient location near a bus stop. Other than that, I would not recommend this place to friends or family.
