Very quaint was very personal

I booked this room at 11 PM and received no response regarding the reservation. Despite my concern about not being able to enter the property, there were no problems with check-in.

The charming atmosphere and comfortable commons area was exceptional. The staff were very helpful and breakfast excellent. In a gated area within walking distance to most of the main city highlights.

Beautiful place bit over-priced

It's a beautiful place, peaceful, well-kept, clean. Comfy bed, heating in the room. Nice breakfast outside in the sunshine.

It's a bit further from the centre than I had imagined and up a big hill. There was a smell of cigarette smoke in the hall which came into our room. There were people talking loudly by the pool under our window at night.

Faulty Towers in Petropolis. Bad price quality ratio

The location and view over the city of Petropolis is amazing.

This Pousada needs seriously a renovation to upgrade its facility to the same level as price it charges. If John Cleese would enter this Pousada it immediately would be the perfect sceene to shoot the 13th episode of Faulty Towers. One example: the beds has planks as bottom instead of a nice comfortable boxspring. The rooms are super small and all attributes are from the 70’s. The television is probably 20 years old and has the size of a magazine.

Big and very comfortable room, silent location but still close to the main touristic attractions, beautiful building, and very good shower.

Breakfast could have more variety of fruits (there was only papaya in the 2 days we stayed there). The sink in the bathroom was too shallow.

Great, happy stay!

staff is very friendly, smart, professional, go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. it’s also close to nature, clean air, beautiful gardens, lots of birds singing early morning, lots of trees and a pool, Good and healthy breakfast, cakes and natural yogurt and juices made locally.

a little to high in the hills, difficult access. not for those without car.

From comfort, peer though tall firs into a fog-filled valley.

The pousada feels at once noble and homely. It is conveniently located a walk away from architectural and historic sights on Av. Ipiranga and Av. Koeler. The room I stayed in had a memorable view of the city center and flanking hillsides. The breakfast was an expansive spread with any staple you'd seek in Brasil. My favorite part was the rousing orchestral music piped in while you dine.

Being a historic inn, the room I stayed in felt smaller than what I'm accustomed to. This was most apparent in the bathroom / sink area.

Excellent hotel to experience historical Petropolis in a quiet hotel, right near the center.

The hotel with its woodwork and colonial style is perfect to experience the imperial history of Petropolis. The view from the room was amazing. There were many options to satisfy breakfast needs. I love the pão de queijo !

For a tall guy the rooms are a bit small and the bed is really too short.

A pousada oferece uma excelente localização, perto do centro de Petrópolis, mas num bairro alto, com vista para montanhas e silêncio. A equipe foi muito solícita e o café da manhã bastante diversificado, com destaque para a possibilidade de pedir ovos cozidos ou mexidos, tapioca ou crepioca. O quarto estava bem limpo e aconchegante.
