All the staff were so accommodating, so polite and really couldn’t do enough to make our stay comfortable. Very happy, I would definitely stay again.Also all my special requests were carried out without any fuss.

Beautiful old building, quiet and welcoming. Very friendly staff. Welcome drink on arrival and complimentary bottles of water during our stay for when we were going out and about.
Delicious breakfast with very good service. Comfortable , well appointed room. Excellent location in the heart of the city.

Beautiful well furnished, great attentive staff and well decorated. Clean and good facilities.
Sadly didn’t get the good night sleep we hoped for here.
Beds need updating - mattresses were not pocket sprung so every time my husband rolled over in bed it felt like I was being catapulted out!
We had a few maintenance issues. The mini fridge wasn’t cold and the ventilation fan in the bathroom kept making a loud squeaking noise intermittently through the night (not connected to air con so couldn’t switch off).
Even though we were the other side of the corridor we could hear from the room every time the lift went up and down.
The service charge was a joke - they place a £40 per day “holding fee” on the card then charge you £14 for the pleasure of refunding it (we were literally there for an overnight place to sleep and didn’t need and “service” so this felt like a big scam!)
Because of these facts I’d be hesitant to stay again, which is a shame because it’s an otherwise lovely hotel.
