Al Bailo Di Venezia

Location, comfortable beds, coffee on hand, decor.

One of the two toilets was out of order, which is never great with a family of five. We would like to have been informed about this! Also an ant infestation appeared at 1am. Neither thing was terrible but could be dealt with for the future.

Great location, easy to walk to st marks and rialto bridge. Our appt was spacious even with a 9 year old on the sofa bed. Both beds were super comfy and cool, just what we needed!

Shower took a while to heat up and water pressure not the strongest but this is minor compared to everything else

The location is quiet, the neighborhood is peaceful. There are two outstanding restaurants just 60 seconds out the front door. The apartment is fully equipped to make your stay heaven. It is close to San Marco square and you cand look on Google Maps to take the 5.2 line to get to San Marco because it is easier to reach Al Bailo from there.

The location is fantastic, down the road from one of my favourite restaurants in Venice.

I stayed at this property, albeit on a level or two up with a view over the canal however, the quality of the room when I stayed here 12 years ago was completely different. It felt luxurious beautifully, clean, newly renovated, and I was greeted by a wonderful receptionist by the name of Guido. My husband Son a nice stayed at that time and we totally loved it so much so that we recommend recommended the place to many other people since. Unfortunately I cannot say the same about the room I stayed in on the ground floor with my girlfriend on this trip. Yes, it was slightly less expensive, but it was not good value for money at all. It was tired. There was buildup in the bathroom sliding doors to the shower area. The refrigerator froze over most of our food which we had to throw out, the bed was no bigger than a double and was hard as a rock and the pillows were terrible, my girlfriend and I ended up tagged teaming sleeping on the couch, which was equally uncomfortable. The welcoming feel good vibe. I had last time I visited and stayed here was not at all present and in fact, my girlfriend said I would not be recommending this hotel after my visit. From what I can see the hotel has been sold to another organization or hotel chain, accessing the room as well wasn’t an easy process and the room was not available until exactly 3 PM on the dot even though there was nobody else in the room prior to this. I just think there was a total lack of presence. Hopefully the owners of this hotel, take this constructive feedback and use it to improve the premises, repaint upgrade, improve the bedding facilities, upgrade the bathroom, and ensure a welcoming services provided to all guests. I most certainly will be looking at other options, next time I come to Venice or next time Friends ask.
