Rome To Stay

Perfect location for socialising and also transport connections as metro is short walk away to get you to most sightseeing venues. Room clean, felt safe and check in was nice and friendly. Definitely recommend.

The only negative would be the view from our room, however this didn't affect the score as we didn't spend much time in our room.

1. The manager communicated promptly 2. The room was of decent size and not cramped up and was neat. 3. It was close to metro and also to restaurants and supermarkets. It took me about 10 - 15 mins to walk from the Roma Termini Station to the guesthouse.

1. I did not know it was a guesthouse. 2. The heater is only turned on between 6:30 am and 9: 30 am and the same time period in the evening. I visited from the 11th to the 16th of February 2026 and while the temperatures were not freezing, it was still uncomfortable especially after taking a shower and walking of the cold floor. 3. There was no provision of an iron in the room and washing machine in the facility 4. **Most importantly, the staircase leading to the rooms is dark and dingy and can appear unsafe. It was my first time in Italy and having no idea of the crime situation, it was unnerving. I did mention it to the manager, and he informed me that he is aware, but it was complex as many superiors would be involved in collectively making the decision to have the staircase well illuminated. 5. I also had a private taxi service arranged through the guesthouse manager to pick me up at 4 am on the 16th of February 2026 as there was no 24-hour reception to call a taxi just before I left the guest house. However my flight was cancelled overnight, and I called the Taxi service an hour ahead to cancel the trip and that I would use their service the next day, but I was still asked to pay 60 Euro (original amount 65 Euro) as "the driver had to wake up at night". I would have paid some fee but I thought paying almost the whole cost of the trip was unreasonable. I thought the manager would act in my favor, but he sided with the taxi company. I had to move into an adjacent hotel for the extra day as the Rome to Stay hotel was booked out already, which I understand.
