Arbatax Park Resort - Cottage by Falkensteiner

Sai quello che hai ricevuto solo quando rientri a casa e non lo hai più... Tutto bellissimo: gentilezza e disponibilità da quando arrivi fino a quando vai via dal resort. Consiglio una tappa al ristorante sardo: tutto ottimo! Fatevi consigliare da chi lavora lì da anni, “GRETA”. Noi abbiamo soggiornato al Cottage Arbatax Park Resort, ristorante “Sagana”. Personale giovane, supportato da personale con esperienza, sempre gentile e disponibile.

Uniche pecche: la piscina, che doveva essere a uso esclusivo del Cottage, come ci avevano comunicato inizialmente, era invece invasa da tutti. Purtroppo, c'erano pochi lettini. Servirebbe più attenzione alla pulizia della camera. Problemi di connessione Wi-Fi. Bar "bouganvillea" con personale poco disponibile e lunghe attese. Da rivedere. Il bar ha funzionato solo la serata finale di Ferragosto. Comunque, grazie di tutto!

I have to admit that the first day when we arrived, I got slightly disappointed with the room. I was expecting a bit more furniture (sofa, another chair,...), TV channels were not working, no coffee machine and somehow a bad smell in the bathroom. However, looking at the whole picture, we really had a good time in this resort. Our room was very centric and we didn't even need to take the shuttle. The air conditioning in the room was a blessing everytime we were retourning. There are 5 swimming pools and the beach, so plenty of opportunities to swim and relax. Then, there is the fitness and aquagym classes (special mention to Maria Giulia who was leading the aquagym class every morning doing a great job and engaging the people!). Additionally, the night entertainment was really well prepared (music, dancing, magic,...). On the food side, we also enjoyed it. The breakfast was good and the dinner is also a buffet and it varies every day (drinks like water and wine are included, anything else you want to drink you have to pay for). People serving the food are also very friendly and nice.

In general, the place is a diamond that needs some polishing to sort the small details. I think a bit better organization is needed; also more people serving at the bar next to the Bouganville pool (normally only 1 guy serving at a time, so having to queue for a long time in the sun is not great). Since the resort is huge, there is only a small supermarket inside which has some drinks and snack, but I think it will be great if there could be more variety of food products being sold (and also with lower prices). Finally, we were really looking forward to play ping pong, but I think it will be better if the ping pong table is placed somewhere with a good shadow. I almost died playing in the sun. Unfortunately, nothing can be done about kids screaming all the time.

The Beach was perfect. We loved snorkelling and diving around the rocks.

Our closest pool was pleasant and clean but very short of sunbeds and NO loos. Our family of 12 couldn't eat together at the breakfast buffet because we couldn't find table arrangements that we could place together. Some of the onsite restaurants met our dinner standards but mostly we ate outside of the resort. Reception and laundry wanted cash but the resort information said the site was cash free
