The overall experience of staying in the hotel was good

The overall experience of staying in the hotel was good. Breakfast buffet was good. Staff was very cooperative and polite and were able to speak good English. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel which can be used to reach the city center or the main train station in about 14 minutes. The city center could also be reached by foot in about 30 minutes and the main train station in about 15 minutes. There was an electric kettle in the room with tea and coffee provisions.

The restaurant food taste was average. The shower area drain was clogged and despite complaining twice could not be opened. The room with the heating off still remained quite hot and we had to continuously keep the window open (day & night) to make the temperature bearable.

Spacious , clean room, quiet area, comfortable bed. Staff nice

Nobody answering room service and very slow service in the restaurant, although they were trying to be nice i belive they’re understaffed. Did not appreciate as a customer that had already paid in advance for the room in full being asked to leave a 100 euros deposit which 4 days later hasn’t been returned into the account. Again this hasn’t happened to me in a long time. Also when asked for an iron i was made to sign a paper, never experienced that in a 4 star hotel before as it should have been in the room Bed sheet had a small hole and also the towels seemed old.

A nice place for a price

The location is across the street from a park on a main street. There is free parking out front and paid parking in a basement garage. There are numerous restaurants minutes away. A grocery store is just a 3 minute walk away. The main train station is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The location is clean. The breakfast buffet is large and neat. Great selection of juices and the coffee machine is fantastic. The desk personnel are knowledgeable and helpful. The rooms are adequate size and the AC is a benefit with numerous heat waves in the summer. The bed is clean and very comfortable. The restroom has a bidet and of a good size.

It was a bit more expensive than expected for the accommodations. The free parking is hit and miss. The street traffic makes getting in and out of the location a challenge.

Great location but only to sleep, not yo stay/eat

Very strange bar service. Day 1 we had dinner, however we never recieved the drinks we ordered because 'there were no more glasses' to then get our soft drinks with glasses. Day 2 we wanted to order a meat platter but couldn't 'because the kitchen wasnt open yet' at 18:15. Day 3 we tried to order some bar food but that wasn't even possible anymore at all. (15:00) Didn't feel like personel wanted to do anything for us at that point.

Great base for a 3-night stay in Bologna

I liked the location. There is a nice park behind the hotel and tennis courts and an indoor soccer field across the road. You can take a 15 minute walk to the vibrant cafe/restaurant/university area or you can take the #21 bus from right outside the hotel to the centre of Bologna in about the same time.

After a 3-week holiday through The Netherlands, Germany, France & Switzerland, a dip in a hotel pool would have been nice.

If you don't mind the daily bus commute, I guess ok.

Room: standard twin room, guest room, 2 twin beds Price: 415 EUR / 3 nights A double bed made up of two beds side by side that are not connected or anchored to the wall or floor in any way so everything fits between the beds, one night I fell into a hole between the beds. The mattress is too soft and not a good sleep. I usually wake up once a night, but here I wake up 10 times. The room is equipped with a smart TV with Netflix. The room, was clean and the bathroom. So were the towels. The room is not equipped with a coffee maker.

The location of the hotel is not very good for tourists from another country. From the train station you have the option to walk or take a bus, it's about 5 stations about 2 km away, after the station you are outside the old tourist center in a place residential for locals, location is probably the biggest negative of the hotel. The hotel itself tried to block payment 48 hours in advance, after a failed block on the bank account the hotel threatened to cancel the reservation, so I transferred the money to my bank account on a credit card and within 12 hours the hotel blocked the payment, even though I requested payment on the spot, directly at the hotel. It's an annoying complication when the rules don't apply to both parties. Also, I don't arrive at three instead of one and request the same room. I would probably not stay here again and would choose a hotel in the historic center.

Superb

Very nice and cozy hotel. The breakfast is very good and varied in a modern and very pleasant restaurant. We took advantage of the free parking it offers. There is easy public transport to the city centre.

Тhe restaurant does not offer dinner, but have a Lidl and easy find a couple of pubs nearby.

They have a beautiful patio area outside of the fitness center or you have a great view of the city. The breakfast there is fantastic.

The bath area was a little weird, the shower kept spraying into the bathroom, so the bathroom floor would get soaked

Close to Bologna Central Train station. How close? Depends of your luggage size.

If walking over the bridge crossing the railways is not too inconvenient then you may say that the hotel is located in the city center. But when the temperature is over 40 degrees Celsius better spend 10€ for a taxi to get into the center. The breakfast offered is quite good.

It was very modern and clean, and the staff was very nice and helpful in getting us a taxi to go to the airport.

The location is far from the city center so not super close to many restaurants by walking.

Great staff. Very clean rooms and very comfortable beds and great water pressure

Bathroom was very small and glass sink was poor. Too shallow and no room for toiletries. Faucet leaking on the wood floor. The tub was very slippery .

Excellent!

The room was spacious, very clean and everything perfectly in order and the interior had a luxurious touch. The design of the bathroom was a bit special, even exquisite. Breakfast was excellent with lots of options and all presented very nicely. Wifi was high speed and worked very well.

The bed was far too firm for me. It's a pity because it clearly had a negative effect on the sleeping quality. Sad since all the rest of the hotel experience was very, very good. The bed is the only reason I'm not rating the hotel as exceptional.

Red Bolonia

If you've been to Marriott before, you know what to expect. Rooms nice, claen, bed comfortable, mini bar, big TV. You can open the window :) Breakfast delicious. Nice and helpful staff. Location- when you want to get to the airport is great- only 10 minutes by taxi and only 20 euro, but if you want to get to the main city center is almost 40 minutes walk. Lidl is very near.

Neighbourhood is not necessarily safe. Only one small bottle of water (free of charge)- in room for 2 people.

Not as good as expected

The room was clean and had everything I expected to find. The bed was comfortable and large. The bathroom was nice and shower worked properly.

The temperature inside the room was way to high. I expected to find something more for our stay. The light of the tv was annoying during the night. I don't like curtains in substitution to roller shutters. The fitness centre had very few machines, I expected something more and when I asked about the machines they didn't answer my questions
