Great place to explore the northern Black Forest.

The facilities, restaurant, are great. The food is great quality, the BFG is the best. The staff (owners) are very welcoming and helpful. The day I was due to check in I received a call with information and instructions for access as they wouldn’t be there.

The location is a little remote but I picked it for the area for riding my motorcycle so pretty central for the northern Black Forest.

Aggressive Owner

The owners. There was a miscommunication regarding food when we arrived. This did not go down well and the female with black hair was very aggressive towards the majority of our group the next morning. Wholly unacceptable. The pillows are completely pointless, they offer zero support and the breakfast wasn't edible. A member of the group asked for toast, the owner wasn't happy.

Excellent hotel

Excellent hotel and the family that runs the hotel are superb to stay with - they really care about the customer experience. The food was excellent - quite honestly the best food we both ate during our holiday in Germany - the hotel excelled in the restaurant.

Room was a little warm would have been nice to have a fan in the room however we managed ok.

Lovely traditional Hotel in the Black Forest

We decided to stay here very spontaneously but we are glad that we did. The room was exactly as pictured and very spacious. Everything was clean! We also enjoyed the balcony. The entire hotel is decorated beautifully and very thought through! You find nice little details all around the place. We also decided to have dinner in the restaurant downstairs and it was delicious!! Service was excellent and attentive. The food was cooked to perfection and the Manager made sure we had the best time. Breakfast in the morning was fresh and offered a wide range of local products. Everything a decent German breakfast should offer was available! Eggs were freshly made in the morning to your liking. Coffee, tea, juice, water everything was available. Service in general was outstanding and very welcoming.

glad it was just for one night.

cheap.

after booking and paying via internet. I then get email saying staff on holiday the day I turn up. get details to get in and to get key for room . but restaurant is shut so no food. I was on second floor room 14 and internet was all but useless. needed it to plan my route and book next accommodation. no bottled water or any coffee making facilities in room. breakfast was ok.

Excellent midpoint stay during our Black Forest to Hohenzollern/Lichtenstein leg of our trip!

The owners are amazingly nice and met any needs we had. As English speakers, it was wonderful to have staff that also spoke English. The dinner in the restaurant and the breakfast the next morning were very delicious as well!

A perfect taste of the Black Forest!

I stayed just one night, passing through the area on a long drive. The room was perfect, spacious and very comfortable. Great selection of traditional dishes on the menu, and the Black Forest Gateaux was delicious. All of the family were exceptionally pleasant, friendly and approachable. A top find in a beautiful location - highly recommended.

Excellent location to stay with good rooms.

Fresh eggs being prepared by the cook. Dinner was served in the room by the staff on request on the day we reached the hotel after a long drive.

Limited hot breakfast and resturant closed on monday's and tuesday's as we stayed for sunday, monday and tuesday.

All about the hospitality of the accommodation, and all departments of hotel, was absolutely spotless clean, very convenient to visit triberg, and waterfall, and indeed the whole region of swarswald, fine restaurants close by too, with substantial menus to suit all tastes,

Nice cozy room and good Overall style. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Room and bathroom were clean.

The rooms are not super soundproof so you will hear guests in the hallway. Pillows were way too fluffy

Great location right next to the starts of multiple hiking paths. Varied and tasty breakfast. Clean, spacious and modern rooms and bathrooms.
