Beds were very broken down and a long climb upstairs to room. Rooms needed some upgrades but for the price and location it’s hard to complain. Bathrooms were pertains very clean and food and beer was excellent

Our stay was pleasant with excellent hospitality. We'd love to repeat

The breakfast was so tasty, there was plenty of food and coffee. The quality was superb! It was a quiet place so we could rest and sleep without disturbance. The hosts were very nice, helpful and welcoming.

the mattresses sank too much for our liking. Everything else was perfect.

This was the least favoured hotel of our 12 night trip

Room no 8 , location , free parking and pleasant breakfast included.

1st bedroom offered no 7 had badly worn and stained carpets as did no5. Both were very dated thought the bathrooms were pleasant. Stairway and landing to rooms situated on the 2nd floor had a strong cigarettes smell. Eventuality offered bedroom no 8 which was great having been refurbished and new carpet!! no cigarette smell!!

Charming guest house

The owners were very friendly and made us feel very welcome here. It is a charming guest house. The restaurant was busy in the evenings.

We arrived to check in at 16:30 on a Saturday, but it didn’t open until 17:30. The guest house is a little dated and could use a bit of tlc.

Una estancia acogedora en la Selva Negra

Sitio espectacular! Habitaciones espaciosas, camas cómodas, baño enorme. Además el personal es muy amable e implicado. Ideal si quieres ver Relojes de Cuco en Triberg o ir a Gengenbach, aunque si vas por la Selva Negra diría que es parada obligada. Por cierto, muy recomendable el desayuno! Todo muy rico y en cantidad!

Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis mitten in Hornberg. In der Gaststätte der Rose kann man sehr lecker essen.

Gute Lage, fußläufig zur Hornberger Pilzlehrschau. Bad war frisch renoviert und sehr schön. Einzelzimmer war nicht so groß, aber für mich ausreichend. Personal sehr freundlich und bemüht.

War gut und man darf nicht so kleinlich sein

Das Frühstück war echt gut,die Senior Chefin ist eine ganz ganz liebe.Sie macht mit viel Liebe das Frühstück,fragt immer nach usw.10 von 10 Sternen für sie.Das Restaurant das zum Hotel gehört ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen.Aber Bedienung sehr nett und die Speisen sind gut und Preis Leistungsverhältnis gut.Das Zimmer und Bad war eigentlich sauber.Aber wenn man zum Beispiel über das Holz am Bett am Kopfende gestrichen hat war doch Staub🫣Aber das ist meckern auf hohem Niveau.Parkplatz direkt am Hotel,und trotz Hauptstraße finde ich nachts geht es ob das jetzt die Straße ist oder die Nachbarzimmer, außer es sind welche richtig laut.

Die Betten sind durch gelegen.Das ganze Möbel ist in die Jahre gekommen,das hat man so heutzutage nicht mehr.Aber es passt in den Schwarzwald wer aber damit nicht zurecht kommt für den ist es nichts.Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer die Dusche der Schlauch am Duschkopf hängt nur noch an einem Fetzen müsste erneut werden.Alte Vorhänge usw wie gesagt nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Der Teppich hat sehr viele Flecken man weiß nicht ob abgenutzt oder welche Flecken es sind.Müsste echt erneuert werden.Die Zimmer,Die Treppen,Das Gasthaus, ist alles echt renovierungsbedürftig,aber uns hat das nicht so gestört.

Estancia muy agradable, repetiría si tuviera que volver

La habitación y camas muy cómodas. Todo muy limpio. Desayuno incluido espléndido. La dueña muy amable y atenta con todo. Tiene restaurante, donde cenamos al llegar muy bien. Buena relación calidad-precio.

Todo me pareció estupendo. Nada que objetar en mi caso. Por decir algo, para quien tenga alguna dificultad de movilidad, no hay ascensor para subir a la habitación.

Zona tranquila y bonita para excursiones a Triberg o villingen de un día o viaje a Francia y Alemania. Las dos señoras que lo dirigen son muy amables y me encantó todo. Habitación muy bonita, lavabo moderno. Todo muy limpio y desayuno excelente. Trato familiar y cercano. Volveré. También tienen restaurante.

Tolle Unterkunft, super Gastgeber

Die Lage ist sehr gut, alles fußläufig erreichbar, schöner sauberer Ort mit freundlichen Menschen und einigen Wirtshäusern. Der rauschende Bach sowie Die umliegenden Berge sind der Hammer. Das freundliche Personal ist hier besonders zu erwähnen, eine nette ältere Dame die Sich sehr gut um ihre Gäste kümmert.

Die Ausstattung bzw Einrichtung ist traditionel gehalten, von altbacken möchte ich nicht sprechen es passt einfach in das Gesamtbild der Region, ist aber bestimmt nicht jedermann Geschmack. Die kleine Strasse vor dem Gasthof wird allerdings als Ortsdurchfahrt genutzt wodurch es doch recht laut ist und offene Fenster nicht wirklich möglich sind nachts z.b

Schöner familiärer Aufenthalt

Zentrale Lage, alles fußläufig erreichbar und toller Einstieg für Wanderungen. Nette Gastgeber, insbesondere das herzlich servierte reichhaltige Frühstück.

Während unseres Aufenthalts gab es aufgrund einer temporären Umleitung leider viel Verkehr auf der Hauptstraße. Mit offenem Fenster war es in unserem zur Straße gerichteten Zimmer sehr laut.

Verblijf was in het algemeen goed, hoteleigenaar was heel vriendelijk.

Het ontbijt was lekker, we kwamen niks te kort.

De kamer was goed, wat opviel was dat er redelijk wat kevertjes in de badkamer zaten en tegen 's morgens ook op het beddengoed.

Estancia intermedia en la Selva Negra, que merece la pena, por el hotel y el lugar

El pueblo en si es curioso tiene una torre que se puede visitar si vas con tiempo, por coche o andando, el hotel está bien, como ya sabréis los gasthof y guesthouse con tienen ascensor, esto es recurrente, son casas por lo general antgiuas. El desayuno muy bueno, y el baño también.

Bueno, así como el baño es excelente, la habitación tiene el suelo de moqueta, por eso no le pongo un 10 a ese aspecto.

Schönes gemütliches älteres Haus.

Das Einchecken mit dem Schlüsselcode war problemlos und hat gut funktioniert. 3 - 4 Parkplätze sind direkt am Hotel. Das Frühstück war gut und reichhaltig mit allem was so zum Frühstück benötigt wird. Wir waren mir unseren Freunden wohl die einzigen Gäste, aber die Seniorchefin hat uns sehr herzlich bewirtet.

Es war sehr schade, dass das Hoteleigene Restaurant an dem Wochenende geschlossen hatte, wir wurden aber im Vorfeld darüber informiert. In der Nähe waren wir dann im Thannhäuser Essen.
