Ideal for our family group, taking three properties. Warm, cosy, plenty of hot water. All equipment and linen provided. BBQ was a bonus. Play area for our grandkids to enjoy. Very close to Beverley.

The location and cottage were beautiful and better than expected
The bed was quite uncomfortable and lumpy with us being able to feel the springs in some places.

We had a wonderful stay at Barmston Farm with our 4 children ages 8, 4, 3 and newborn. We wanted to try something slightly different to the busier parks that we are used to (like Haven) and we are so glad that we did. The location is beautiful, the cottage was perfect for what we needed (Otter Cottage had just enough room for the 6 of us and was clean and well equipped) and the outdoor play area meant that the kids could burn off some energy before settling down for the night. Making two little friends, Ben and Daniel, was an added bonus for our girls! We also enjoyed sitting out at the table in the enclosed area in the evening with mocktails, but ran out of time to try the bbq! We didn't need the laundry room or have chance to check out the games room, but the kids did enjoy seeing the farm animals which is a lovely addition. We used the cottage as a base and had day trips out, which was wonderful. As there isn't much to do on site, you need to make your own entertainment, which is exactly what we wanted to do - board games, drawing, hide and seek...and watching the roaming chickens! Four nights was just the right length of time for us. The owners are very friendly, and Fiona was especially lovely in making us feel welcome and recommending places to visit...including the local pub which we really enjoyed visiting. In conclusion, it's a different type of holiday - quiet and great for family bonding. We would certainly recommend Barmston and would consider using it as a base again in the future. Many thanks to the owners for helping make our summer holiday a memorable one.
