Annex Fishers Yard

The peace. The quiet. It was a complete escape from the world. Soo quiet, apart from the birdsong. We really needed a break and this little house was so cosy and so quiet, with an adorable little seating area outside, that we ended up booking an extra night! I'd have been so disappointed if it hadn't been available. We visited Castle Howard which was amazing. Then we spent a day locally, going around Kirkham Abbey ruins beside the Derwent, walking along the river and around the village, as far as the mediaeval church. Nothing but wildflowers and butterflies. Lots of eateries and drinkeries in nearby Malton and you can stock up for a picnic at M&S, Asda, Morrison's etc. Loved that there was an airfryer and a washer/drier and a dishwasher! Even little Westow has a gastropub, open Weds - Sun.

Too many cushions. Too many house plants. A few too many nicknacks. Well, you did ask. But we probably had too much luggage!

Lovely property in a quiet location, ideally situated for visiting York, the coast and surrounding areas.

Great kitchen with everything you need for a cook up. Two couches for unwinding at the end of a busy day of travel.
