It had a lovely homely feel to it and fabulous views. Sophie and Matt couldn’t have been more welcoming. Breakfast was delicious with freshly homemade bread and yoghurt. The beds were super comfy and there were loads of lovely walks nearby.
Nothing.

From the moment we arrived at Ceo Mara Croft and saw that spectacular view across Airds Bay, we did not want to leave. The surroundings are peaceful and feel completely isolated. Apart from our goat companions and the occasional hen! Inside the cabin was warm and cosy. It has been decorated beautifully and felt like a home away from home. The kitchen was well equipped and the lounge area was super comfortable. There were also handy facilities for drying wet gear/shoes in the little outhouse next to the cabin. We especially loved the views from the bed at night and in the morning. The bed itself was super comfortable and had luxurious bedding. Despite this, I would have preferred the option for some blackout curtains in the bedroom as the sun comes in first thing (sometimes you want to sleep in!) and the blinds did not really do anything to block the light. Matt was a super host, attentive when it was needed, but gave us plenty of space to be alone and enjoy the quiet. As we were there on a Monday and Tuesday, we were not able to try out any restaurants in Taynuilt itself, but we did have a very good dinner at the Ben Cruachan Inn and and an excellent breakfast at Poppies. Taynuilt is a great spot for exploring surrounding towns and scenic spots. We loved our two days at Ceo Mara and were very sad to say goodbye to the cabin and the view!

An exceptional cabin in a stunning location. Beautifully designed and built quality cabin with every comfort and detail thought about, a pleasure to stay in. Outdoor furniture on the private decking gave us lunch in the sun with that gorgeous view. Thoughtful written info very helpful for local attractions and eateries etc.
Loved it all, including watching the antics of the goats!
Hard to think of anything, a coat stand would be useful.

access to a small kitchen would have been good, but we managed as the hosts were very nice

The chalet/cabin was in an excellent location with a cracking view over Loch Etive and the surrounding hills.
It was very peaceful and quiet, the only background noise was bird song mixed with Maggie and Lisa's bells and occasional baa-ing. Lisa and Maggie are resident goats I should mention.
The Chalet had everything we needed and was warm and comfortable throughout our stay with an added bonus of a drying room for wet clothes or wetsuits.

Matt and Sofie were lovely hosts, with great local knowledge. We are a well travelled couple and this was easily the best continental breakfast we've had - homemade yoghurt and bread and fresh fruit salad. Location is beautiful and we loved meeting the croft donkey! We would absolutely stay again and will recommend to our friends and family.
Nothing, our stay was exceptional!

Ceo Mara Croft is set in the most beautiful location. The first thing you see, when you enter the Croft, is the view from the living area. It is absolutely breathtaking! Sophie and Matt are wonderful hosts and make you feel so welcome. The rooms are all lovely and spotlessly clean. The beds were extremely comfortable and Sophie was kind enough to purchase synthetic pillows for my stay. There are lovely little touches everywhere, from the chocolates, to Sophie’s own freshly cut flowers. The information on the local area was invaluable. Unlike other hosts, Sophie and Matt had prepared their own, very detailed, leaflets and maps, which we used several times, every day. The breakfasts were just delicious! The highlights for us, were Matt’s freshly baked bread, served with Sophie’s homegrown, homemade jams and preserves. We cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough! It is ideally placed, for touring the local area, assuming you can draw yourself away from the stunning view of Loch Etive.

We loved the comfort provided. The breakfast spread was amazing. The views from the rooms were scenic giving positive vibes. The toileteries provided were great quality and kind to the skin . Love the location and the country side setting .
The b and b sign on the main road could be illuminated and enlarged as is hard in the night considering Google doesnt have the right location.

Cozy and tastefully designed. Very new!
The owner made an effort to give pleasant
surprises to its customers, eg putting in
small pouch of lavender in drawer.
best if a small kitchen or pantry can be
added to enable self catering.

The entire property and location was just perfect. Matt and Sophie were also perfect hosts with no shortage of great recommendations of local attractions worth visiting and some hidden local secrets. My wife and I had an amazing stay and would highly recommend staying in this beautiful location.
Nothing…..apart from having to leave.

The breakfast was nice, with a variety of cereals. Porridge and fruit available upon request before 9:00pm
It would have been better if it had cooking facilities, but then it wouldn't be classes as an airb&b. There were local places to eat out from within a few miles.

Stunning location, close to the water. Very comfortable beds and lovely breakfast/sitting room with amazing view over the Loch. Breakfast was delicious and so much of it! My kids particularly loved Sophie's homemade bread and I loved the jam. Thanks to Matt and Sophie for being such lovely hosts.

The Croft Is overlooking Loch Etive in a beautiful scenic part of Scotland. Our hosts Sophie and Matt were welcoming and friendly and had obviously worked hard to provide a co-vid safe stay for guests. The accommodation comprises a large lounge with great views over the loch, two super king size en suite bedrooms and a seated area outside for coffee or a glass of wine! Huge comfy beds, super showers and everything spotlessly clean. Continental breakfast was laid out for self service and there were plenty of options to enjoy including porridge, cereal, fruit salad, home made bread and jams, croissants and pastries. Tea and coffee was available during the day with a home baking treat left for us. The effort in decor and furnishings, and attention to detail was amazing. It all made for a comfortable and relaxing stay. We would defo recommend!
