Relaxing retreat in Canggu

We had a late arrival flight the team were so accommodating with a really late check in to our villa. The staff were so friendly checking in on us every day. Breakfast was included which we had forgotten so a nice touch - I recommend the pancakes! Everything was so clean and the cleaners came every day leaving it spotless. The villa was also in such a great location easy to walk to cafes (some with great coffee as an aussie that's important) and shops and a short scooter ride to many other parts.

The central location and the nevertheless very quiet surroundings were positive aspects, apart from occasional construction noise that overshadowed everything.

Overall, the accommodation was very unclean and dirty. The floors were dirty, and there was a lot of dirt as well as dead animals such as cockroaches inside the villa and in the surrounding area. The otherwise very beautiful pool was extremely dirty, very cloudy, and dead geckos were floating on the water. The seating furniture was rotten, dirty, and partially moldy. While the landlord is probably not entirely responsible for the snail infestation around the house and throughout the villa’s surroundings, it was still very unpleasant—especially as some of these snails can potentially pose health risks. Most disappointing, however, was the breakfast. Breakfast was offered à la carte, but the portions were extremely limited and the quality was even worse. The food was tasteless, carelessly prepared, and soggy. As a result, we skipped breakfast on both days because it was simply inedible. It is far more worthwhile to eat breakfast at one of the nearby restaurants, as the breakfast at the accommodation was not enjoyable at all.

Not worth it during rainy season.

Good location and lovely friendly staff

We went during rainy season so I’m sure these things wouldn’t be a problem during the dry season, but there were lots of bugs and the private pool couldn’t really be used as due to the rain the water would get really murky and stuff would go in from the trees. The private pool was also completely shaded so couldn’t be used for sunbathing. The staff were very lovely and helpful though.

- Very close to all amenities (shops, restaurants, ATM across the road, walking distance to the beach) - Beautiful surroundings (birds, trees) - Comfortable bed - Staff were very accomodating, approachable and lovely

- If you are not a fan of insects (wasps, mosquitoes etc) this may not be for you. There were several occasions where we had a spider or wasp enter our bathroom and living area. Not the villas fault as the bathroom is partially outdoors! - The villas would highly benefit from being maintained even more - the shower area and drainage, the pool, mosquito net, anti-slip flooring would be great in the shower and pool area, too much chlorine in the pool, rusted/ old pool lounges, slow internet

Amazing

Indah was absolutly amazing. She gave us a netflix account to use, and organised breakfeast for us on the day of check out, eventhough we checked out before the kitchen was open. She helped us with every need we had! I honestly cant recommend this accommodation enough! We absolutly love it, and we loved the staff!

The staff were super helpful and friendly, they tried to resolve all the issues that the facility has, the location is great peaceful but close to everything.

This place needs a lot of maintenance and a very deep clean. All the sheets and pillows case have stains. We requested to change rooms after the first night because the room smell of humidity and it was full of bugs. We had to move again because the air conditioning stopped working halfway through our stay.

Amazing paradise oasis in heart of Canggu

I loved the villa! It was our own private sanctuary! Bit strange for me having a shower and toilet outside but very secluded and fun. The staff are amazing and very friendly and called every morning to ask our breakfast order if we forgot. They kindly organized an anniversary surprise for my husband which was so wonderful

The main pool was under maintenance but given it was over Christmas that was understandable, probably would have just liked to know in advance.

The staff are very kind and friendly.

I was disappointed with my stay. The property was old, poorly maintained, and not cleaned properly. The overall condition did not match the photos or expectations. It definitely needs a deep cleaning and some updates before hosting guests. I would not recommend it in its current state. They need a serious refresh of the property and a deep cleaning. We had issues with the pool as there were no lights and we told them to fix it. The entrance is dark no lights as well. The linen is dirty snd the mosquito net is stained. No lights near the mirror in the bathroom which is a bit uncomfortable. The breakfast choice is basic. But overall is pretty fair. The property has a great potential if a good renovation is done.

Amazing choice in Canggu

The facilities are quite rundown, lots of insects in the room, bed, bathroom. Mosquitos everywhere, bad smell when we first walked in. I think this property was nice when first built but is in need of a renovation. The bathrooms are outside and insects are everywhere. It overall felt not clean.

This was our second stay at Regali. The villas are comfortable and clean. The staff are so friendly and ensure you are looked after. The breakfast is tasty and well portioned. They are also in a fantastic location.

There were a lot of mosquitoes in our bedroom and around the villa in general, so we’re covered in bites.

In summary: it’s paradise!

The property was so private, peaceful and it felt like a true luxury escape. All the staff are extremely friendly and polite, Anggun in particular is just a delight! She is a ray of sunshine and will work so hard to make you feel happy and comfortable. Our room was perfect in every way. The bed incredibly comfy, the seating areas so nice to sit and take in the tranquility. I’d definitely recommend booking the “deluxe suite”. The town has an amazing selection of restaurants and everything is close by. The ideal location for a honeymoon.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. They all had big smiles, were friendly and made the stay feel welcoming. You can tell they love what they do, and we really appreciated that. (Hi-Fives every morning for my four-year-old was his highlight). Location is great with a short walk to the beach, restaurants and a minimart located right outside. So much potential in this villa complex however its not maintained to its full potential.

The Villa is located next to a small river which means there is lots of bugs (Mosquitoes etc) to deal with. The Villa does try to put control measures in place however you will interact with the mozzies at some point. The pool wasn't clean, We had to clean the pool out daily with goggles and by hand. The Villa is beautiful but starting to show its age / wear and tear. The villa and central facilities have so much untapped potential, i wish the owners used some of the money to re-invest back into their Villa. It would be amazing. The cleaners kept the room tidy to the best of their ability and within expectations, the rooms are stained however with what looks like old Mould or dark spots. The mosquito netting around bed was tattered and ripped, The front courtyard of the villa looks nice and simplistic but could do with a bench and a bit of love. (The water was filthy, rubbish inside the water and two lonely fish who looked like they were knocking on deaths door). Again, a bit of Love and maintenance and this Villa could push 4-5 stars. The gardens and plants were overgrown. Again, a bit of investment into getting some gardeners would make this place amazing. The place lacks ambience. If they opened the bar / renovated it and added some music it would feel like a jungle paradise. Unfortunately (No fault of the team who are there running it) it seems there has been little investment into the up-keep or maintenance of this villa complex, and it was a little disappointing to see.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Villa was spacious and bed comfy. Loved our private pool!

Don’t waste your time with their breakfast, not good! Bathroom in need of a good clean/spruce up. All tiles need a bleaching or de-staining. Met with a few critters but they were harmless, frogs, crabs, geckos and a massive spider in our room on the last day. Over all, we enjoyed our stay here.

Very old and tired - everything needs replacing. towels and sheets old and grubby, bathroom moldy, tiles stained and chipped. Not at all like the photos, very deceptive. Kettle broken on arrival - we were asked if we had broken it. There is a list in the rooms for replacement cost of everything. I have never seen this before in hotel accommodation. When we checked out we were told to wait whilst they inspected our room. Felt like they were trying to find something wrong and charge us. Main pool closed for maintenance but no maintenance was happening. If they refurbished everything this would be a nice place to stay but at the moment I would not return.

Very very disappointing

Nothing - property was way below expectations and how it was promoted.

The list of what was wrong with the property was long and extensive. Our villa had a significant mold issue, broken shower and clearly had not been cleaned. Dead fish in pond. The only thing we liked was the speed at which they allowed us to leave. While 4 nights of our stay was refunded we still had to pay for the first night during which we had no shower and slept off moldy bedding.

Prime Location, Run-Down Villa

The location is awesome right in the middle of Echo Beach and super close to La Brisa. There are tons of great places to eat just a short walk away. Amazing staff!!

We stayed here two years ago and absolutely loved it, it was the highlight of our trip. A beautiful private villa set in well-kept grounds. So we were really surprised (and disappointed) to come back and find it so run down. The place is starting to show a lot of wear and neglect. It doesn’t look much like the photos anymore. There was a lot of moss, a musty smell throughout the villa, and it just didn’t feel clean—especially the sheets and towels. Really sad to see how much it’s changed.

Peaceful and relaxing

A very peaceful experience. The pool was a GREAT size for a private villa. They also have a shared pool but we didn’t feel the need to use it. It felt like we were the only people staying there too. The staff were very attentive to any needs! I will say some parts were a little tired, a few of the pool tiles were loose (but they were made away and said they would be fixing them). Overall a great experience.

Avoid!!!

Although I know it is an indoor/outdoor living space and bathroom, it was the dirtiest place we've stayed in the entire month we've been in Bali. We had 6 days booked, without refund or cancelation, and we left after 2 nights. The pool wasn't skimmed before we got there or during the time we did stay...there were bugs and ants literally crawling on EVERYTHING, including INSIDE the toilet 🤢There was also, most likely a tokay, in our room and it likes to poop on the floor in the same spot at least. This happened both days! We took the loss and left. Avoid!

Very central to Echo Beach and the surrounding cafes and nightlife. We liked that this was right beside a Minimart and shops. The Villa is very well appointed, we had an incredible room and outdoor pool and seated area. The staff are incredible and made our stay so enjoyable. There was nothing that was too much of an issue. We enjoyed the built in breakfast - the daily Goreng and fresh fruit was delicious. Canggu is an up and coming area, I would highly recommend staying at Regalli Villa - we already want to come back!
