Not worth the money

The bedroom upstairs was spacious and bright. Very nice closet and area to put your clothes. Bathroom upstairs was also clean and comfortable to use. I like having 2 sinks as well. Nice clean sheets and towels. Nice design. Good wifi.

We couldn't use the downstairs area because it smelled like moist and mold. When we asked they said it's coming from the pool because they just put some products in it and it will go away in a day or two but it never did and we are very sure that it wasn't coming from the pool, it was the house itself (the pool area had no smell). We couldn't use the downstairs area at all, although they provided some air refresheners it did not help. The windows in the bedroom have quite some space on top which makes it impossible to sleep if it's raining or windy (they are very loose and keep hitting each other with wind/rain and wind/bugs come in). If it's the rainy season I would say don't stay here. Definitely not worth the money.

I've travelled a lot around the world and have to say this was genuinely one of the best hotel resorts I have seen. The villa was 2 floors, with downstairs being open and airy with private pool. Upstairs was air conditioning and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was the size of a small apartment itself. Staff were excellent

Fantastic and luxurious, the accommodation is exactly like the photos, would recommend to anyone

Our stay at Black Sand Villa was truly memorable, with the stunning setting and thoughtful amenities making it easy to relax, and although we experienced an unexpected move to a different unit, the staff’s professionalism and warmth turned it into a positive experience; they communicated openly and clearly about the situation, assisted us through the transition, and showed genuine accountability by offering remuneration, which made us feel valued and cared for—ultimately, the villa itself is a gem, but it was the team’s responsiveness, transparency, and commitment to guest comfort that left the strongest impression and ensured we would happily return and recommend it to others.

It was a bit noisy due to a construction next door but it was not too bad. Otherwise there were no complaints.

Excellent location, not a lot of privacy

The location was AMAZING! The beach, cafes, restaurants, everything was within a 10-15min walk. The down stairs area was well set up and a fruit bowl on arrival was a nice touch. The stairs at the top are quite steep/narrow, it made opening the door quite challenging.

The patio area with the pool didn't get a lot of sunshine. From the master room upstairs, you could see straight into 2-3 other villas - not ideal if you're after privacy. When laying out by the pool, there was also some works (cutting trees etc) which involved people looking over the fence, again not ideal for privacy.

A special shout out to Jerry and Widi who got me to the airport in a flash last night! As the traffic was crazy busy, these two guys just topped off my stay with incredible service and driving!! Brilliant!! Thank you so very much guys!! All the best, until next time ;))

The pool is a nice to have but very limited in regards to actual sunlight in the courtyard. Apart from that, really stylish place to base yourself and explore..

Clean, modern, private, best villa I’ve stayed at in Indonesia.

Amazing value. Entire two story private villa. Private pool, spacious living room space, all amenities you could ask for are provided. Comfortable bed, TVs that actually work well, fully stocked kitchen, 2 clean bathrooms, outside and bedroom showers. Extremely friendly staff. Jeri is your man for anything you need. He took great care of me during my stay and the attention to detail was nothing short of amazing. They offer a great breakfast and all services including transport, laundry, and activities. Perfect location near everything. Will 100% stay again when I’m back in Canggu.

Over my 14 Bali visits the services and facilities were surprised below expectations.

The location was great. The bed was comfortable. The pool was good. Tv and wifi were excellent.

This was more Airbnb than a villa complex. You couldn’t get any food past 4pm, no iron, no toaster, cleaning every second day, wasn’t able to organise transport (even back to the airport). There was limited communication with the people running this. Staff were friendly and willing to help but it didn’t seem they were supported by the management. (For instance they found an iron but it kept going back and forth between all the villas). The stairs are also a little concerning. Especially with luggage.

They could use some rubber between the sliding doors to reduce strong wind from blowing the blinds in the room, at the same time use it to prevent mosquitos & reduce external noises. I could hear the next door guests talking through these gaps. Outdoor shower area is too open, the guests from next door villa can literally see you.

worth going despite some cons

location is great, only 5-10 minutes walking distance from all the nice shops, bars and restaurants of the area. the villa offers two small rooms with a big closet and separate bathrooms. the pool is nice and chillout corner in the living room is perfect for small groups. the staff was incredible kind and friendly, especially the drivers helped us with so many great ideas about what we could be doing next in order to explore the real Bali.

there was a constant unpleasant odor coming from the bathroom which got worse after the shower has been used, the villa needs a renovation here and there and the balcony on the first floor couldn’t be used as there was a constant hot airflow from a ventilation we couldn’t stop (Bali is hot enough).

The villa is not only modern and well-equipped but also designed with great attention to detail. The thoughtful layout, calming colors, and natural materials create an atmosphere where you feel instantly at home. We especially loved the private pool area surrounded by lush tropical plants – a true oasis of peace and relaxation. The amenities were excellent: a well-stocked minibar with a great selection of snacks and drinks, a fresh fruit basket to welcome us, and a complimentary water dispenser that kept us supplied with fresh drinking water throughout our entire stay – a truly thoughtful gesture. Our time here was pure relaxation, and we can highly recommend Blacksand Villa to anyone looking for a stylish and serene place to unwind. We’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful property, very clean and the team is helpful.

The property is very nice and well equipped. Jerri and the team were very helpful. Lively area full of restaurants and mostly a 10-15-minute long walk to most restaurants in Canggu.

Check-in was a bit of a mess as they had prepared a one-bedroom villa instead of the two-bedroom booked. I would suggest just a friendly reminder to the team before checking-in. There was also an issue of wildlife with multiple geckos, a frog and a lizard making it into the property as the sealing on the windows and doors leaves a gap.

Comfy, clean and prime location.

All the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and assisted with our arrivals and departures. Bit of a miscommunication the day before niyepi with ordering food. Given the wrong food, and it took 7 and a half hours to deliver. We were then told there was no food at all, leaving us worried. The miscommunication was resolved and we received some of the food we ordered. The laundry service was fast and efficient however a little expensive. Grab drivers were a huge issue for this location, we had a little more luck with gojek. The location was perfect and close to Penny Lane, the beach & main stores/attractions.

Sehr schöne Designervilla in guter Lage. Viele Restaurants in der Nähe und am Strand ist man in nicht mal 15 Minuten zu Fuß. Die Villa hatte alles, was man braucht. Das Personal war immer freundlich und hilfsbereit.

So wie auf den Bildern abgebildet. Ruhig, mit viel Grün & Vögel Gezwitscher, aber trotzdem sehr zentral gelegen. Sehr freundliches Personal und als Willkommensgeschenk haben wir sogar noch einen Obstkorb erhalten.

Très belle villa, tout est neuf et très bien entretenu Personnel toujours présent pour le lot de villa ce qui est très appréciable Proximité avec le centre de Canggu que ce soit à pied ou en scooter Pas de bruit la nuit mais malgré les rideaux de la chambre la lumière passe et nous sommes réveillés tôt

Malheureusement il y a aucun rideaux dans tout le bas de la villa et dans la douche du bas (donc vis à vis dans la salon et dans la douche extérieure que du coup nous n’avons pas utilisé ce qui est bien dommage). Il est urgent de mettre des rideaux et brises vues…

Malgré que la villa est jolie et confortable je ne peux pas accepté qu on vole de l argent dans le safety box !!!!! Qui ne peux être possible que part un membre du staff !! Donc un conseil si vous décider quand même de booker cette villa ne laisser rien dans le safety box , encore moins des objets de valeur dans la villa !! Méfiez vous !!! Aucune solution proposée par le manager uniquement de m accompagné au poste de police tout en essayant de me démotiver à le faire , car ça prendrait énormément de temps …

Mooie villa op de perfecte locatie in Canggu

Prachtige villa op een perfecte locatie met alle voorzieningen om de hoek en toch in een rustige zijstraat. Lekker geslapen hier en de staff Jeri en zijn team zijn super aardig en behulpzaam. Je kunt ze alles vragen, niets is te gek en het wordt gelijk geregeld. Thanks again!!
