Perfect location. Lovely old building with great staff. The food was excellent!
When we ate there on the Sunday evening our mains were brought out while we were still eating our starters but apart from that we could not fault a thing.

Good location for High Street, walk along the front, and visit to Walmer Castle. Square in front lively.
Spiral stairs were bit tricky but that is the nature of the building.

Clean and comfortable accommodation, with a lovely sea view and great breakfast. Especially loved the rock music playing in the pub over breakfast and the live music outside.
The room had everything we needed plus a brand new Nespresso machine, which was a nice addition.
Our room was on the top floor and it was quite warm, so we were very glad that a fan was supplied. The ceiling in our room was quite low, so my 6'3" husband couldn't stand up straight and had to duck the whole time. It was still a nice stay though, would definitely stay here again.

Lovely view from the window, the bedding and towels were clean and comfortable, well fitted bathroom. It was a fine enough place to stay for the night.
Ceiling height in the room was barely 6ft - I think they should make you aware of this on booking as we could only just about stand up straight and I imagine lots of slightly taller guests would spend their whole stay ducking. We were hoping for cosier pub vibes but the room itself felt a bit tired and the staff were decidedly unfriendly apart from the lady who showed us to our room.
