Pondok Santi Estate was an absolute paradise and one of the highlights of our Bali trip. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with a peaceful and luxurious feel throughout. The location is perfect, set on a quieter part of Gili Trawangan right by the beach, allowing us to enjoy stunning sunsets and crystal-clear waters away from the busier areas of the island. Our accommodation was immaculate, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff were exceptional, always friendly, welcoming, and eager to help with anything we needed. The breakfast was excellent, and the overall atmosphere made it incredibly easy to relax and unwind. We only stayed three nights but could easily have stayed much longer.

From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. The arrival mixed dragon fruit drink and snacks were incredible, so much so we drank the juice every day. We stayed here on my birthday and without prompting, at breakfast on the beach, 7 members of staff brought a chocolate mousse desert with a candle and sang happy birthday (no charge). The room was cleaned 2x a day. The turn down service was immaculate. We stayed in an ocean view villa with pool. The outdoor shower was perfect and refreshing. The pool was the perfect temperature. We had a private cabana in addition to the numerous ones outside in the complex gardens which are hand manicured by several gardeners everyday. The room was always well air conditioned to the point that in the evening we wouldn’t feel sticky/dirty. No mosquito issues with multiple options to prevent mosquito bites. The room was spacious and had very high ceilings. The front porch had an exception view with a station to clean your feet before entering the house. Breakfast was a 5* experience with 5 separate components on the beach (with the option to eat by the pool or in the room). Service was always with a smile and nothing was too much trouble at all. We didn’t use the bikes. There are numerous activities both complimentary and paid for guests. Free activities we saw included: bird feeding, chess, wood carving. We didn’t do the paid activities as we had already booked something before we got there. It drizzled at dinner, following which we were moved to the covered restaurant which was stunning and classy. The food was top tier- we had the pizza which could have been made by an Italian artisanal pizza chef. The Aussie couple next to us had food from the grill which they described as exceptional (it did look good). In particular we would like to thank: Chika, Nanda, Pandu and Yoda. They made our stay particularly special.
