We visited for a good friends funeral in Arbroath. The train station is a short walk away. The town centre has a lovely

nice traditional pub/hotel well maintained spotless and comfortable great stay
clean comfortable rooms, nice bar and restaurant , in the last few months we stayed in the main hotel and their rented apartments for approximately 7 or 8 weeks while working, very helpfull staff, well recommended.

Poor experience for the cost.
The staff were very attentive and friendly.
The curtains fell down in the middle of the night and I was told by the cleaning staff that this happens every single day and not to touch them otherwise they will fall down again. This is very disappointing as it meant I had a really bad few nights sleep with the houses opposite looking directly into my room. I appreciate that these things may happen as a one off but it seems this happens daily.
