Puripai Villa is a really beautiful property, surrounded by nature and with amazing views over the hills and the rice fields around Pai. The whole setting is probably the best part of the stay peaceful, green and very relaxing. The location is outside Pai, so you need to keep in mind that you’ll need some kind of transportation. There is no Grab Car in Pai, only Grab Scooter. Otherwise, the hotel offers a free shuttle service according to a timetable, or you can arrange a paid transfer. For us, this wasn’t really a problem, but it’s definitely something to consider when booking. We stayed in a room in the main building rather than in one of the villas. It was a standard room and overall everything was fine. The dinner restaurant was also a pleasant surprise. We had an excellent Pad Thai so definitely worth trying! We also joined a yoga class in the beautiful glass building in the centre of the property, which was a really nice experience. And the swimming pool is simply stunning, especially with those views over the surrounding hills and fields. Overall, a very beautiful place with an amazing natural setting. There are a couple of things that could be improved, but the scenery, pool, restaurant and peaceful atmosphere make it a lovely place to stay in Pai.

One thing we did report to the staff was the air conditioning, which unfortunately wasn’t working properly. The temperature shown on the thermostat didn’t really match what you actually felt in the room, so it was basically either freezing cold or warm there was no comfortable middle ground. The windows were actually constantly fogged up because of this. We mentioned it to the staff, but unfortunately no alternative solution was offered. Another area I think could be improved is the breakfast buffet. From a property of this level, we expected something a little more generous and varied. That said, the dishes included in the breakfast menu were delicious. The avocado egg toast and eggs Benedict were both really good.
