The cottage was amazing! The views of the sailboats out the upstairs bedroom window were picturesque.Danielle was great to communicate with, and the property was great!

This rental is in a great location, and I personally love how rustic it is. It was fairly straightforward to find in the daytime. I love the dirt road dotted with apple trees and deer leading up to the property. The host left a hand-written note and some chocolates upon arrival, which was a lovely touch. The 2 decks are a great amenity and I enjoyed starting the day out there with a hot cup of tea. The inside is spacious, well laid out, there are plenty of towels, and the rooms are neatly arranged. The view in the upstairs bedroom is incredible. Beds and couches were comfortable. I was happy with the host's level of communication. The host gave us a heads up that the bathroom floor downstairs was recently damaged and was squishy (but safe and being replaced). Some little friends emerged from the bathroom cracks at night (though no roaches). Other things I noticed: patches of white tape in the bathroom and kitchen. Hopefully these are temporary and more permanent fixes are in the works. When in use, the oven emits very hot air out of the left side so we kept windows open at all times out of concern. A window was cracked in the dining room. There were some spots in the house that needed another clean wipe. Some of the rooms with carpet smelled strongly of moisture.This home has a ton of potential to be a 10 out of 10 because the host, location, spacious layout, and yard are great. The rustic surroundings make it special. If improvements are made, I would book here again.

The previous reviews prepared us for what we were to find. The house was hard to find, especially after dark. We had a very cool week, but if it was warmer, we were concerned that it could be hot in the cottage. Previous reviews mentioned bugs, but we did see two roaches the entire week. It was very spacious and had a nice view.
