You had to have both lights on in the bedroom, it would have been better if there had been side lights beside each side of the bed and could be turned on and off separately.

The food and the location were great. The atmosphere inside the pup was also great. It took a little bit of time to be noticed during check-in. We had to ask twice to check in. But once the check-in process started it was painless.

We were there for three nights. At no point was the room cleaned. At no point were the tea and coffee and other accoutrements refilled. We weren't looking for much, just tea and coffee. We returned from a long day out to find there was no tea and coffee in the room as we had used it the day before. My wife headed down to reception and asked for the tea and coffee to be refilled. Joshua asked if we were going to eat in the restaurant and if so he would refill the items while we dined. After 2 hours this had still not been done. My wife had to go downstairs again and ask again at which point she was given the refill items to take to the room herself. These items were provided by a different person. On arrival there were two bottles of water. These were very welcome as it was a very hot day and the room was very stuffy. As I said above, the room was never cleaned or turned down again and these items were not refilled. At no point did the hotel and pub seem to be overwhelmed with guests, so I am not sure what happened with the standard service that you would expect in these cases. For 3 days we used the same towels. We made the bed ourselves and we made sure we had liquids and refreshments available provided by ourselves. At a total cost of nearly £300 for the 3 days I would have expected at a cleaning of the room, trash emptying and tea and coffee to be refilled.
