Update Urban Chic Flat in 19th Century Building 2 Bedrooms & 2 Bathrooms & AC Central Alfama District

Location, cleanliness, responsive host.

We loved the location of this apartment, it was within easy walking distance to everything. It was on the tram line if you wanted to use that but we found it pleasant to walk to most things. The double glazed windows and shutters made it really quiet at night. It was modern, clean and comfortable and well appointed.

The only minor let down was the lack of a clothes drying rack which had been listed as being available. But we managed by using the heated towel racks in the bathroom.

Great location, close to everything important in the very center of Lisbon. Very comfortable for a group of 3, with 2 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. Very nicely refurbished, the flat had everything we need for 3 nights stay. Comfortable beds. Excellent communication with Pauline and Anna, easy check-in and check-out.

The only thing is the 2nd floor, but we disregarded it.

Apartment living area was spacious and pleasant

It was not an enjoyable stay. The apartment was nice enough, but we were also paying quite a bit for a stay that was under construction. The stairs and entrance to the apt were being restored and they actually painted our door as we were going in and out! Totally unacceptable. The sawdust was initially the problem, but that paled in comparison to getting paint all over ourselves as we went in an out. Even the key was covered in paint when we used it in the lock. True, this is the property management' s decision...but we were greatly inconvenienced with no options available. Dry-cleaning bills, the smell of paint(they were outside our door painting for 3 days!) and our reluctance to come in and out as we wanted was ignored .Either an apartment is ready and available...or it isn't. This was not a rentable apartment at the time we were there. Joao was responsive but did not consider it his responsibility apparently.
