Yoichi-gun - House / Vacation STAY 43683

What an incredible spot. The hosts are next level hospitable and communicated with me ahead of time and throughout our stay via Booking.com. We were picked up from the JR train station, and they made us reservation for that evening at a small kaiseki spot and drove us to dinner and asked the chef call us a taxi when we were finished. 6 seats, the chef and the server. It was probably our most memorable meal of the trip. The room is very comfortable and spacious. The hosts prepare you a delicious Japanese style breakfast each morning. The bathroom and bathtub is like having your own private onsen with a spectacular view.

The most difficult part about it is transportation. While the hosts were very accommodating, unless we had worked out specific times that we needed a ride beforehand, we felt bad imposing for them off the cuff. It is walking distance to town, but you have to leave plenty of time, since it’s up on a hill and in the winter the walk can be very icy. There are no cabs to pick you up from the house, but if you are in town you can find a cab at the JR train station to take you home pretty easily.

Vi havde den mest vidunderlige tid på Yoichi gun house! Vores værter var utroligt søde og venlige, og de gav os fremragende anbefalinger til restauranter samt hjalp os med transport og andre behov under vores ophold. Morgenmaden var simpelthen fantastisk, serveret i den hyggelige lejlighed med en betagende udsigt over havet fra vores bord. Et ekstra højdepunkt for os, der var på skiferie på Hokkaido, var det luksuriøse badeværelse med et kar, der føltes som vores egen private onsen med en fantastisk udsigt over havet. Det var virkelig en unik og afslappende oplevelse! Vi kan kun varmt anbefale dette sted til enhver, der søger en uforglemmelig oplevelse i Yoichi. Vi vil helt sikkert vende tilbage!

There was a lovely view of the Yoichi foreshore and harbour, from the lounge and the private bathroom. It was a very relaxing self contained unit, connected to the main house but still private. The owner met me at the Yoichi Train Station to direct me to their house and also to an excellent local restaurant. I would definitely go back another time.
