The location is excellent. It’s close to Sumiyoshi Shrine, and a short walk up the nearby hill offers a beautiful sunset view in the evening. JR Minami-Otaru Station is only about 1 km away, and there are convenient bus stops nearby, making it easy to explore the city. The house is spacious, with two floors and three bedrooms, providing plenty of room for a family. It’s located in a quiet residential neighborhood rather than a tourist area, allowing us to experience local life. We even had the chance to chat with friendly local residents while shopping. It was a wonderful place for a slow and relaxing stay.

Because the house is located near a main road and a traffic light, there is noticeable traffic noise, especially when vehicles accelerate after the lights change. Two of the bedrooms were quite noisy at night, making it difficult to sleep. Fortunately, we brought earplugs and noise-canceling headphones. The bedroom farthest from the road was much quieter. The house also uses a lot of wooden materials, so there was a noticeable wood smell when we first entered. Keeping the rooms well ventilated would make the stay even more comfortable.
