We travelled in May for wedding celebrations which were great but it was too early in the year. Avola starts in June!
The premises were very quiet as often we were the only people in the apartment block!
The host was not on site most of the time, but he was generous in bringing us a bag of home grown Sicilian lemons and oranges - delicious.
There was no wifi which there should have been.

we had a problem with the wifi, the host was great and lent me a webpocket for a few days until the wifi was running. We had a large terrace with side sea view.
I missed the slicing knife in the kitchen, so we had to buy. The dishes were dirty when we arrived, we washed everything once more. But the other things were fine

Apartment is new, nice, spacious and clean. There was one balcony and a big terrace. Kitchen is well equiped. Beds are comfortable. In our apartment there was one room with a double bed and a bunk bed. There is also a TV, but we didn't use it. 2 AC were in the apartment, one in the main area (kitchen) and the other one in the bedroom. (Free) Parking is on the street.
Avola is not a touristic town and it has a good location - It is close to Syracuse, Ortigia, Noto, Lido di Noto... Beaches of Avola are close by.
There are no bigger shops near by, just one small. So if you want to go to a bigger shop, you need a car (we had one, so that was no problem for us).
Owner was nice, but speaks no english - we communicated with Google translate.
Wifi had some trouble douring our stay and it didn't work.
