Hiriketiya White House

* Superb* We had lovely stay at Hiriketiya White House - 5 min to the beach, stylish clean rooms with balcony and unique bathrooms with open air windows, comfortable beds, good Wi-Fi connection. Macaque monkeys showed up in the trees just outside the balcony. We received very warm welcome from the owners and a cute farewell gift. We loved that it was no strict time for checking in and checking out. ❤️Highly recommended ❤️

The location was fantastic. 3 min walk from the surf break point at Hiriketiya. The staff were amazing and so kind. Breakfast was also really yum!

The rooms are quite small and basic, no aircon and no where to put clothes ( no shelves or hangers)

Location and value for money!

This accommodation is in a great location, a short walk from the bay, which made getting around really easy. The family who live on the property are absolutely lovely, very welcoming and friendly. There’s also a really nice outdoor seating area with a table and chairs, set between sun and shade under the trees. It’s a lovely spot to sit, relax, or get ready for the day, and adds a nice homely feel to the place.

The shower is cold water only, with no hot water, which I didn’t realise before booking, possibly my oversight, but it was still quite a shock and not comfortable. The mosquito nets around the beds do help, but unfortunately there are a few holes, and with vents in the walls, mosquitoes still get into the room. We were bitten a lot, which wasn’t ideal. There’s also no air conditioning, so the rooms can get very hot, especially at night.
