Blue Heaven Hiriketiya

A little gem in Hiriketiya! We absolutely loved our stay at Blue Heaven! The room was beautiful, stylishly decorated and absolutely spotless, with a lovely fresh, clean smell as soon as we walked in. The shower was excellent, with plenty of lovely hot water, and the whole place has been done up so well. Although it has only been open for two years, everything feels fresh, well thought out and beautifully maintained. There’s also a lovely outdoor seating area where you can relax. The location is perfect — tucked away in a quiet part of Hiriketiya, yet only around a 10-minute walk to the main strip, with shops and restaurants just a few minutes away. We received such a warm, friendly welcome from the lovely owner, including a deliciously refreshing cold drink on arrival. We didn’t have breakfast as we were only staying for one night and wanted to head out and explore, but the couple next door were enjoying a lovely-looking breakfast which I’m sure was delicious! We were due to check out at 11 am, but as we were heading on to our next destination, the owner very kindly offered to let us stay until 2 pm. Such a thoughtful gesture and a perfect example of the wonderful hospitality we experienced here. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Blue Heaven to anyone visiting Hiriketiya. A beautiful little place with a lovely owner, fantastic location and genuine hospitality. Definitely a hidden gem!

Everything was good

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und gemütlich, der Gastgeber war sehr sehr freundlich und hat sich immer sehr viel Mühe gegeben, das Frühstück war sehr lecker! Der Weg zum Strand war auch recht kurz, die Unterkunft ist sehr ruhig gelegen und zwischen den hohen Bäumen und den Affen, die man bei Gelegenheit von der Terrasse aus sehen konnte, hat man sich ein bisschen wie im Hochland gefühlt. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und wir haben uns sehr wohl und gut versorgt gefühlt! Sehr zu empfehlen!!

Pubudu, de eigenaar, is erg behulpzaam en attent. Hij bedekte onze gehuurde tuktuk tegen de regen en was erg bedachtzaam met kleine dingen, zoals een extra flesje water toen we gingen surfen. Ook het ontbijt was heerlijk en afwisselend en het appartement was heel schoon. De locatie is op loopafstand van leuke winkeltjes, restaurants en het strand. Zou het zeker aanraden om hier een paar nachten te verblijven! 😊
