Mama's Palace Hiriketiya

We loved it! We stayed in a few other places in Hirikitiya, but this one exceeded our expectations! Comfy beds, great house, clean, quite, everything works! We asked for a tea pot, and received it for our stay! It was great! Plus you have the privacy you need, even though few other rooms was occupied. Highly recommend and will be back for sure!

Superbly clean, professional host, beautiful fixtures and fittings, very close to town. They should be charging double what we paid for sure. It was exceptional

The location pin isn't quite right, but it's no big deal.

The property is secluded from the main strip but is a short walk to restaurants, cafes and the beach. It is peaceful and quiet. The hosts are friendly, welcoming and helped with any of our needs - just a message away. The best part… the older cat that lives there - she was the sweetest and most affectionate so really made our stay having the comfort of pets around.

Staff are very warm and friendly. Rooms are large and bed is comfortable. AC is good.

Location: not great as it’s a bit of a walk from the town and you can get better value staying closer to beach. Room: no water provided, bathroom didn’t smell good. Breakfast: very average down at the beach and staff not that friendly. Laundry: 6000 lkr for 6kg is very expensive and washing didn’t smell that fresh and stains didn’t come out. Overall: builders on site which created a lot of disturbance and mess. Perhaps there should be a notice to make customers aware. Didn’t feel relaxing to stay. Very disappointing because it has potential to be a very nice place to stay.
