Garden Villa Talalla

Garden Villa is s lovely place to stay, only a few moments walk from the beautiful and unspoilt Talalla beach. Gaby and her staff are very friendly, warm and welcoming and looked after me extremely well during my 6 week stay. I was volunteering for a local charity with variable start times and they were very accommodating by putting on an early hearty breakfast for me every day, which included the most the amazing fruit platter! My room was spacious, well equipped and very clean with a quiet balcony overlooking the pool and beautiful garden, which is full of lovely tropical plants and flowers. A very peaceful place to sit and relax in. Diva and Lucky, the two labradors, were very friendly too, always happy to see me, giving me a very warm welcome whenever I returned. Nothing was too much trouble to make my stay as comfortable as possible and I highly recommend Garden Villa as a great place to stay. I hope to return again one day.

Super Nice lokation, great pool, lovely garden. The best reflexology massage ever! Rooms are clean and spacious.

This place is only great IF you are a dog person. The two dogs are very big and persistent. However, they are very friendly dogs

Good breakfast, the yoga terrace and spa area. Super close to the beautiful beach. A great check in and very spacious room. Lovely host/owner.

That the assistant lady was a bit rude when the monkeys took something from my balcony which kind of ruined sunrise beach walk. No response whenever I messaged on WhatsApp.

The room is large with a nice balcony, the pool.

The host was helpful to us prior our arrival, but once there compared to the amazing hospitality we received at previous homestays in Sri Lanka it was just a 2/10 and this for the triple of the price we paid in some homestays. The breakfast is also not comparable to the other accomodations we have been, which had way more quantity and weren’t that pricey. We just has breakfast once at the Hotel and choosed to go out for the next days at the breakfast outside the hotel offered just better quantity and quality for a much better price. Overall it is just not comparable to the amazing hospitality we got from the locals, where the hosts are so helpful. It is the little things during our stay at the villa garden that have brought us dissapointment like asking for the prices of the laundry 3 times. We had dinner at the hotel once and were sit down with the owner and the other guests, which was very uncomfortable since we werent expecting it, and is just a “german” action. Chanaka, the manager, was extremely helpful and friendly with us, making our stay comfortable. However we were disappointed with the owner’s lack of hospitality and kindness.
