Tangalle Bay Beach Villa

After a very early start in the morning, Tangalle Bay Beach Villa was exactly what we needed for a peaceful nights sleep! The bed is incredibly comfy and the air conditioning is very effective after a day at the beach. The two shower system is perfect and very powerful! The property is a minutes walk from Red Beach and a short tuk tuk ride to other beautiful beaches. The family are incredibly welcoming and made an amazing mix of Sri Lankan pancakes and eggs & toast for breakfast - we were so full! They also invited us to join in with the Sinhala New Year traditions which was incredibly kind. The food was amazing!

Prachtige ligging, nieuwe appartementen. Heel schoon.Supervriendelijke host. Prima ontbijt. Echt een aanrader. Strand is aan de overkant. Zwembad bij de buren en bij red beach kun je heerlijk eten.

Een heel fijn en nieuw appartement met balkon en heerlijke zeebries, op loopafstand van diverse strandjes. Schoon en een goed lekker bed voor de nacht. De gastvrije eigenaar Dul en zijn lieve familie verzorgde dagelijks hun overheerlijk Sri Lankaanse ontbijt, elke dag met andere gerechten door moeder klaar gemaakt. De uitnodiging om een familie herdenkingsceremonie met 8 monniken in hun huis te mogen bijwonen kon ik niet afslaan en was echt heel bijzonder. Naast gezegend te zijn hebben wij ook nog kunnen genieten van een echte authentieke Sri Lankaanse maaltijd zoals nog nergens gehad en heb geproefd. Nogmaals dank Dul, vrouw en zijn lieve vader met gulle lach en zorg voor iedereen die dag. Dul is echt een goede en zorgzame gastheer en heeft ons bijvoorbeeld ook naar Silent en Goyambokka beach gebracht. Samen hebben we op onze laatste dag nog een mooie ochtend tour door en op het Kalanetiya birdsanctuary gedaan. Al met al een plek om aan te raden en voor ons om nog eens terug te komen.

I couldn’t be happier with my 15‑night stay at Tangalle Bay Beach Villa. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The location is perfect, just a short walk to diffrent beaches, peaceful yet close to everything. What truly makes this place special is the family who runs the villa. They are absolutely wonderful. Their kindness and care shine through in everything they do, and they genuinely want you to feel good and enjoy your stay. The breakfast is fantastic. The father of the family serves it with such warmth, and every morning they ask what you would like for the next day. I highly recommend trying the traditional Sri Lankan breakfast with rice and curry, egg hoppers, coconut roti or/and string hoppers. One evening I was invited to a home‑cooked dinner, and my two friends, who weren’t even staying at the villa, were invited as well. It was the best meal I had during my entire stay in Sri Lanka, and we ate very well in many different places. The mother of the family is an incredible cook, and I truly hope they open a small taverna someday. Their son, Dul, is also a star. He helps you plan your stay with everything from early‑morning catamaran bird watching trips to safaris and airport transfers. This is a place I wholeheartedly recommend. When I return to Sri Lanka, Tangalle Bay Beach Villa will be my obvious choice. Don’t miss this wonderful family and their little gem by the sea
