About this cabin rental

Located right on Lake Michigan, the Wildwood Cabin is a stunning, 3,000 square foot custom log home once featured on the cover of Log Home Living Magazine! The cabin has 120' of private Lake Michigan beach frontage, a beautiful panoramic view and is also nicely located to many of the area's top tourist attractions. Available for rent year round, it will be your own private paradise; ideal for the entire family, company outings, or a quiet romantic couples getaway.
It sleeps up to 13 guests comfortably, has superb custom furnishings throughout, hardwood floors, granite countertops, custom made burled juniper beds, and much more. Seventy-five steps to the private, sandy shores of Lake Michigan. Only 15 minutes from the Mackinac Bridge, makes an easy trip to the Mackinac Island, St. Ignace and Petoskey. Other nearby attractions include Les Cheneaux Islands, Tahquamenon Falls, the Soo Locks, Whitefish Point, the Pictured Rocks, Lake Huron, Lake Superior and Hiawatha National Park.

Scuba dive ship wrecks in the Straits of Mackinac: The Straits of Mackinac is one of the best locations in the world to explore lost ships. Dive up to 13 ship wreck sites that range from wooden schooners & barges to a 588 foot steel freighter, the Cedarville.

Cruises: There are many different cruises offered in the Straits of Mackinac area. Cruise beneath the mighty Mackinac Bridge, around Mackinac Island, past historic lighthouses and along scenic coastlines, to name just a few. Shepler's Ferry offers a sunset cruise will take you through the Straits of Mackinac and includes a narrated tour near the Round Island Lighthouse near Mackinac Island, the Old Mackinaw Point Lighthouse, and Colonial Michilimackinac, then take in the spectacular Lake Michigan sunset under the Mackinac Bridge. Refreshments are available to purchase during the cruise.
For more information, contact Shepler's, Arnold's, or Star Line Ferry.

Tahquamenon Falls: The Upper falls is one of the largest waterfalls east of the Mississippi, with a drop of nearly 50 feet, spreading 200 feet across. A maximum flow of more than 50,000 gallons of water per second has been recorded surging over its impressive rock face.
The Upper Falls is also the location of the Tahquamenon Falls Brewery and Pub. What a great way to grab a little refreshment after a long day of nature walks. The Pub’s main attractions include a long rustic bar at the entrance and a functioning Micro Brewery. They also serve a wide variety of appetizers and entrees including whitefish, steak and shrimp.
Four miles downstream you will find the Lower Falls, a series of five smaller falls cascading around an island and forming a small lake where you can rent rowboats.
Plan on spending the afternoon exploring the nature trails that run between the Upper and Lower Falls. The trails offer great landscape for hiking, backpacking, fishing, canoeing, nature study and photography.

This log home is unique & beautiful! Location was convenient as not far from the bridge & close to snowmobile trails. Hosts were very kind & responsive to weather related issues we had.

The house was wonderful. The kids loved being so close to the water. The only thing I'd change is the couch and love seat

It was just “OK”. Two of the windows wouldn’t open; two of the doors to the back were broken - host just told us to use the sliding door.Place has three ceiling fans & none of them work; the host told me: “yeah, we need to get those fixed”. They did provide some floor fans. The place was clean and well-stocked with towels & beach chairs. The steps to the beach (70) are very steep and overgrown with weeds. The beach is nice and the views from the cabin are great. Fire pit was nice.
