The amenities, architecture, atmosphere and features of the facilities were all accounted for. From heaters and dehumidifiers for the rooms, fast wifi, good food, good beds, blankets and pillows I could not say more as to how good this space was.

Uguisu no Hatsune (SekiOnsen Hatsune) is nearest to the Seki Onsen ski resort, and is around a 20-30min drive from other resorts like Akakura Onsen and Suginohara. The ryokan is run by a small team, but it is constantly kept neat and tidy. We booked 2 rooms with private onsens that allowed us to get a soak in daily. There are also 2 public baths available (40degC and 42degC). As it's a small ryokan, the place is very quiet throughout the day. We appreciate that there was a washing machine (with detergent) available, which allowed us to do our laundry daily after snowboarding. For breakfast, we were given the options of Japanese or Western. The Japanese breakfast consisted of 2 onigiris (various flavours to choose from), fish, egg, yogurt, fruits and tea. It was a great way to fuel up before heading to the slopes. If you're renting a car in winter, do check that it's a 4WD vehicle as the slope can be hard to climb when lots of snow builds up. During our stay, we experienced a heavy snow storm and our car got stuck on the way in. The ryokan staff (Sasagawa and Niko) went out of their way to help us, despite it being relatively late in the evening. We had a very comfortable stay due to the wonderful hospitality of the team!

Everything was perfect. Sasagawa and the rest of the staff were so Accommodating. He will drive you to other ski resorts. The room was large, you have your own Onsen and the food is delicious. We would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend.

Sasagawa sama and Niko sama were very friendly and accommodating, even before we ever arrived! They checked to see if we needed transport, were very quick to respond to several requests (adjusting check-in time, sending our ski equipment a few days early, etc.) and were super attentive and helpful while staying at the Ryokan. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was impeccable, and the entire property was absolutely spotless and super peaceful. The rooms were very comfortable and cozy, the in-room onsens were perfect after a long day of skiing, and the larger onsens to share with friends were also incredible after a long day on the slopes. Highly recommended!
