To Be Happy in Venice

Three levels of security seemed complicated but was actually easy to use. Lots of space and refrigerator was huge.

Third floor was tough to get luggage up to but was far easier to depart.

It is cozy, has a lot of what you would need for a short stay, I especially value the small stuff like salt, detergent, shampoo, etc, even if I didn’t need them now. Location is nice, quiet, close to supermarket, couple of minutes to Mestre train station. Host is very nice, responsive, careful, always taking care of their guests.

The house has 3 floors, with no elevator. Discuss with host if this is an issue with you. Pictures in the description are a mix of multiple apartments, you may not get the exact one you liked.

Excellent apartment. Self check-in (you can arrive anytime) and reserved parking spot behind the gate. Quiet neighborhood. One bedroom for 3 plus a sofa in the kitchen for 2 people. Enough space for up to 5 people and 1 car. All equipment, including dishwasher and washing machine. Heating and air-conditioning. Warm and cozy. Few steps away from the shop (opens 8:15) and from the main train station. To visit Venice island(s) you need: 1.5 Eur per person for train and 25 Eur per person for "vaporetto" boats for 24-hour tourist ticket (unlimited number of boat rides on ACTV boat lines (with numbers, not characters)).

Bathroom is a bit narrow, kitchen table is small; not recommended for tall people of 2m or above :) Water heater is gas-powered, it takes a bit to get warm water and to adjust the right temperature. Just be patient.
