The room was very clean, and the amenities were well provided. Breakfast was delicious, and I really enjoyed taking my time with the sutra-copying experience, which was very peaceful and relaxing. Although the property is a bit far from the bus stop and the nearest station, that also makes the surroundings quiet and calm. If you are looking to relax and spend time around Chion-in Temple, I highly recommend this place. 繁華街（？）からは少し離れていますが、その分静かでゆっくり過ごすには最適でした。朝食もおいしかったです。写経体験は広間で一人ゆっくり行わせていただきました。また、朝のお勤めも普段なかなかできない体験です。知恩院やその周辺をゆっくり散策するにはとてもいいと思います。

歌舞伎鑑賞⇨会食の京都泊まりで利用させていただきました！お部屋は1人で泊まるには充分な広さです。〈困った事〉・入室してからすぐに、お煎餅のかけらが落ちていました。あれれ？・ドライヤーがなかった。・寝巻きがなかった。 ↑お煎餅のかけらはさておき、それ以外は宿坊という性質上仕方ないのかも。事前のリサーチ不足です。 23時が門限で閉まってしまいますが、宿坊ですし。設備は整えられていて、全体的に綺麗でした。また利用させていただきたいです。有難うございました！

There is no carpark within the hotel premise at all although I was informed that there is. The carparks that they have offered is either diagonally across the hotel or all the way down the road which is 10 mins walk away. Both are open carparks with no shelter and the one diagonally across is locked at night till the next morning at 8.30am. I was horrified to discover that I can't access my car when I left the hotel early in the morning and that there is no one at the hotel lobby to seek help from. So I had no choice but to continue with my plans for the day on foot carrying a big heavy bag at 5 degrees celsius. The feedback was provided to the hotel carpark and they could only provide another option that's down the road for which I had to carry all my luggages to walk to the faraway carpark. The hotel could have pre-warn about this at their hotel listings so that guests can make an informed decision on whether to book this hotel or not. Not only this, clear written instructions to carparks, opening hours of the carparks needs to be provided to the hotel guests too. This has unfortunately inconvenienced me tremendously as I had to change my entire plan for my trip to Kyoto and I did not get to drive my car that I had paid for to drive to areas that were far away and not very accessible. So for the above-mentioned, I would strongly discourage anyone from booking this hotel to avoid the unfortunate situation that I was caught in especially if you're driving, have lots of luggages and with someone who is physically handicapped / elderly / with young kids.
