The Royson Guest House

The location was great. Easy access to both Shanklin and Sand down beach via cliff steps. It was quite near to the Shanklin train station ( walkable) and great connection from Ryde .

The Breakfast was excellent, well cooked and a good selection, the food was always hot and Nigel was an excellent host, It was in a good location that was central to all our requirements

Sharon and Nigel were very friendly and helpful hosts. They even let us use the Breakfast room for a meeting, which we really appreciated. Breakfast was enjoyable and very organised. The room was lovely and clean and had lots of little extras which were really nice. Lovely quiet location..

The property's owners were very friendly. However this wasn't enough to make our stay pleasant. They could improve the room's cleanliness (ours had spiderwebs, was dusty and the toilet seat had some questionable yellow spots on it - maybe pee drops). We had breakfast included. I would suggest them from now on to cook only for themselves and not offer others something that not just doesn't look good, but tastes horrible and if you have a sensible stomach may consider the fact that you could spend the rest of the day/holiday in your room.
