Wendy is an incredible host! She was welcoming and really the highlight of the stay. The room was of course very cute and has everything you could possibly need, but the hospitality was exceptional in this day and age. She made me a full english breakfast everyday but offered other options if thats not your vibe and gave me great recommendations during my first trip to the island. If you are not accustomed to the sizes of homes in the UK I would recommend sizing up if you do prefer space and elbow room. You won't regret it!

What a great few days we had at Appley Lodge. From the moment we booked until the end of our stay, our host Wendy really couldn't have done any more for us. She took care of our ferry booking at a discounted rate and we knew that she was very efficient, but she really came into her own once we arrived. Hospitality is all about looking after your guests and Wendy not only greeted us with genuine warmth when we arrived, she continued to be so charming, courteous and helpful throughout our stay. We had a lovely comfortable spacious room with good facilities and the bonus of a small fridge, which was very welcome during the heatwave we experienced. Wendy was also able to instantly provide us with a fan on request. There were lots of little personal touches, which make a real difference when it comes to hospitality. Breakfast was good and freshly cooked, with everything you would expect. Tea and coffee were also freshly brewed. We had parking immediately outside the B&B and there is a delightful patio area at the front of the hotel, which was perfect for enjoying the late afternoon sunshine. We have stayed in a number of different places on the Isle of Wight over the years, but none that have given us the real pleasure we experienced at Appley Lodge. Thank you Wendy.
