PS4+NETFLIX+TV PLUS Tagaytay Tropical Staycation at SMDC

First of all, Annabelle, who met us and gave us the key, and the owner were excellent at communicating with us and helping us. If there was a delay, it was only about an hour, and sometimes one or the other got back to us within minutes. (The big mystery was that we didn't know about the bottom knob that turns on the water supply for the shower, and they helped us out.) Courteous and helpful staff at the security desk as well, who gave us some basic directions, showed us where the room to dispose of trash was, etc. This is in a really excellent location, alongside Mahogany Road, with a convenience store, an excellent laundry service, and a massage spa all in the ground floor of the building (Tower A.) Nearby are restaurants, a Hypermarket (supermarket), ATMs, a Starbucks, and even an Ace hardware, all just a short walk uphill to the Tagaytay-Nusugbu Highway (which is really just the main street for the Winds/Cool Suites complex.) You can also use a combination of multiple tower lobbies' elevators if you don't want to climb the entire hill. The room and bathroom were clean and quiet; refrigerator and TV worked well; AC (basics) worked, as did the fan.

We had a minor but persistent problem with drain flies (miniature black or gray moths that love to dwell in or near showers and bathrooms,) but we noticed them in the hallway, too, so my guess is several units in the building are dealing with them -- I can't really blame the unit itself for that. They are harmless, they don't bite, but we did end up swatting several of them, just to keep them from flying into our faces or food. But it's better than having mosquitoes! The toilet seat hinge was broken when we got to the unit. Not a big deal, but would have been nicer/easier to open and close the lid if it were fixed; again, pretty minor. There was a lack of hooks or pegs for hanging things up, and no towel railing or rack in the bathroom. Thankfully, we brought some of our own suction cup hooks, bungee cords for hanging towels out to dry on the balcony, and a few clothespins to keep the towels from flying off the bungee cords. This can be easily remedied (and in fact we left one inexpensive row of hooks as a contribution to the place.) Also, the AC was kind of stuck with only two or three modes to choose, but we got by with that. All of these issues are rather minor, and probably easy fixes.

Although the place is small, it is enough for a small family to enjoy. The stay was satisfactory. The items in the room was good.. They provided towels, tissues, shampoo, body wash, dish soap, hand soap. The staff who assisted us was also very friendly and easy to talk to. Also, she replied very quickly to my questions. Should include a little toiletries if possible

The place had mold, including on the bedframe and pillows. When we got inside, the floor was very sticky, likely because it had been mopped with too much soap and not properly rinsed. This made it difficult for us to move around safely inside the property, as the floor became slippery—especially after coming from the bathroom with wet feet, and you could still feel the soap residue on the floor.
