Great place to stay if you have a room in the main hotel.
Overall the rooms and restaurant are excellent, and the staff are very attentive We stayed in the annex.
By staying in the annex you have a walk to the main hotel building of some 400 metres, which in itself is OK. However one evening I accidentally locked myself out of my room by leaving the key card in the room, my fellow traveller phoned reception and received no answer, therefore my only option was to walk the 400 metres to the reception to obtain another card. Also, one one evening that we were there, it rained very hard and there is no transport provided to the annex, nor do they provide umbrella's and so after a 400 metre walk to the annex we were soaked.

A great stay in the beautiful Black Forest and a great brewery!
You will travel here to be close to a working brewery and beautiful environment. That you are. Once you realize the accommodations are actually in the building of the shop and restaurant, everything is real easy to navigate. The room was clean, comfortable, spacious and really quiet. The restaurant on the first floor was excellent with such welcoming service staff. It was rainy, but the biergarten was very nice and a great introduction to the Black Forest and Rothaus bier!
Breakfast was appropriate, but could have more eggs/sausage, etc. Every other hotel on our 3 week holiday did. But we didn't stay here for breakfast, so a very minor thing.

Good location, clean facility
There was a misunderstanding about how to pay for our stay. We thought the payment would be made via Booking.com and there was no one at the check-out desk when we departed.

Great stay
Amazing room. Very sound proof, shower great pressure, bed comfortable, big windows you can open. Complimentary beers and water provided. Restaurant downstairs was great. Beers good. Staff friendly. Rothaus museum free and can go through until 7pm. Free parking. Lift available.

A great hotel, with world class beer
I've never been so excited to check into a hotel! I love the Rothaus beer, so this was a great experience for me. The hotel is brand new, and fitted out to a high standard. The room was spacious and really comfortable. The shower has powerful, and....there was free beer in the fridge! What more can you ask for.
I would suggest eating in the beer garden rather than booking the restaurant. I was charged €7 for a plate of buffet salad which I thought was free.

Lovely rooms but a bit corporate and unfriendly
The room was very modern and clean, the bed was very comfortable and bathroom was modern and spacious.
The staff were very grumpy / unhelpful on the Sunday when we arrived, however the staff the next day were the complete opposite.
