Warm attentive staff, gorgeous rooms, beautiful and tasty daily breakfast - just perfect!

Lovely traditional building, with character and original features. Our room was large, with windows into a little garden. The addition of the fridge, sink and coffee machine was a welcome bonus. Breakfast was spot on, a relaxing meal, served in the garden room Marguerite was so attentive - she offered to provide an early breakfast in our room, when we had to leave early one morning. The location was ideal, as it’s an easy walk to the main Porto bridge to Gaia, and not far from the cathedral (where the walking tours often meet).

Gorgeous, location, warm and accommodating welcome. Good service in terms of supporting our needs other than air conditioning issue.

Our main issue was the fact the air conditioner didn’t work in our room and it was extremely hot our entire stay - resulting in discomfort and difficulty trying to sleep every night. Opening the balcony door helped but created light and lots of noise all night. For a hotel of this price and rating, this was rather unacceptable and impacted our stay not being able to get adequate sleep. They did provide us a fan when we brought up the a/c issue, which helped minimally. Given I saw this same complaint in a review from one month ago it’s clear they haven’t addressed the issue properly. The pool was also dirty and not desirable to swim in.
