Good location and host but basic accommodation.

Location was good - friendly host

You are very much in a family home - all sharing same bathroom and was a bit noisy in the house. Beds were fold out beds so are very basic. For one night it is okay but very simple.

we got surprise pancakes, super lovely

but we did not expect that we will have a room in a house, where lives a great family, therefore, there was kids shouting and vacum cleaning when we were trying to take a nap, and TV watching at night when we tried to sleep.

The location is good. The room has a window and an air conditioning unit.

The property listing says the room has two beds. That's not exactly true. The room has two chair-beds. In the extended position, the chairs have gaps right in the middle, which makes the sleeping experience just unbelievably awful and painful for the back. The bathtub is tiny. It's very inconvenient to take a shower in it. And you wouldn't take an actual bath because it's shared. The address was specified incorrectly in the booking, and I had an extremely hard time finding the property. Some random locals helped out finding it after some time. If you come by car, you might have to park somewhere else away from the property. There probably wouldn't be enough space for a car there. A was barely able to fit a bike. EDIT: I originally wrote here that the owners were really nice and friendly and left a much higher review score, but after publishing this review, the owners: 1. Attempted a fraud by telling BOOKING.COM that I didn't stay there and didn't pay for the stay. 2. Sent me absolutely inappropriate, insulting, and disgusting private messages on Viber.

Hosts are welcoming and caring. Offering to assist you in every way. I've definitely felt like home. The place is situated in the center of the city thus you wont find it difficult to reach all major spots of the city by a short walk.

Super value for a short stay.

Our host, Ana, is just the most brilliant woman ever! She was super responsive on WhatsApp and helped us through our transport challenges between Tivat and Kotor. The room was immaculately clean, same for the bathroom. The bed was also very comfortable. We only spent one night here, but we loved its conveniency and how close it was to the downtown.

We did not really liked that we had to share the bathroom with other guests. There was only one bathroom in the house, and everyone used that.

Maximum coziness. What a lovely place to stay.

Friendly hosts! Most of them did not speak English but that posed no problems because Google Translate exists and they know how to use it. The main host speaks good English and we had lovely chats with her at the table outside the entrance door. The hosts also live in this house, so the place really feels like a home and not just like a "place to stay on vacation". Maximum coziness. It also means the place is clean, has everything you need, and you also get a nice glimpse into how the locals actually live there. The older lady living there offered us pieces of watermelon which were delicious. The host's husband built his own outdoor shower in the backyard, which he showed us with the greatest of enthusiasm. I used it and it was very nice to rinse off at after a long and sweaty day. A normal indoor shower with privacy and necessary amenities is also present. The neighborhood just has a great vibe. And downtown Tivat, the beaches, and bus stations are only a short walk away. A small grocery shop exists down the street, with a supermarket further down but on the way to aforementioned locations. The room has AC. Thatş more luxury than I have at home! Needless luxuries like a TV are not included, meaning you're not paying for stuff you don't need. A fridge in the hallway can be used to store a few food items.

We had a little bit of trouble finding the place with our car. It is in a side branch of the street which is tucked tightly in between two houses and is really easy to miss or easy to mistake for like a private access road or something. This specific branch is also not on Google Streetview, though it is on the map so I could've known we had to take a turn there rather than continue barreling down the main street. Nonetheless, we were using the booking.com chat to communicate and when I explained where we were they walked out to come get us!

Great location

The room was conveniently situated, just a 10-minute walk from Porto Montenegro. This proximity allowed us to easily explore the marina, restaurants, and other attractions nearby without any hassle. Considering the overall experience and the location's advantages, the room provided excellent value for money.

Despite being assured that the main door would be accessible at all times, we returned to find it locked on one occasion. This situation caused inconvenience, as we had to ring the bell and potentially disturb other guests to gain entry.

Definitely not there again

The owner spoke English.

Bathroom is shared with the family of the owners and other guests. It was constantly full of dirty clothing and laundry and was not so clean. The room did not have A/C as mentioned or electric kettle. The location provided here was not exact and we were wandering to get there. The wardrobe was full of winter clothes of the family so actually it could not be used. It is at a good location but not so easily reachable due to narrow streets. We had to be silent because the children of the owner were sleeping the next door and it was open, I suppose due to the fact that there is no A/C and actually it was extremely hot during the night. :)

Cleanliness.

There is a room in the flat where we stayed with the owners. No privacy at all. Use same bathroom with the owners and their kids. Noise until kids get sleep.

Clean place and friendly, welcoming owners at the time of our stay. If you don't mind sharing the property with the owners and their kids and family, you would be fine for a couple of nights.

The description in the listing didn't match the facilities provided - walls are not soundproof as the posting was suggesting and some of the facilities were missing, such as air conditioning and electric kettle (however, we had a fan and mosquitos). I have no idea how it would be accessible for disabled guests either, as it is located on the second floor, which was not stated either. The location in the posting was different from the place where the house was and you needed to call the owners, so you need a mobile connection. There were no house animals, unfortunately, that would have completed the experience.

Le lit est confortable, la Clim est très appréciable, L’hôte est très sympathique et accueillante.

Aucune isolation. Comment commencer un voyage déjà fatigué ? 23h : cris des enfants. 5h : douche de nos colocataires, puis la vie des locaux qui démarre. À partir de 5h, oubliez l’idée de dormir : chaque douche, chasse d’eau ou robinet ouvert résonne comme si tout se passait… dans votre chambre. Nous avions demandé à laisser nos bagages. Étant réveillés très tôt nous sommes allés faire une excursion, au retour nous avons mangé un sandwich sur la terrasse partagée à midi, cela semblait fortement poser problème. Dommage quand on sait que nous avons payés pour être réveillé à 5h en vacances, un peu de tolérance. Être hôte ne s’improvise pas, les touristes paient mais un minimum de confort est demandé. Du moins dormir sans bruit ..
