High terrace is a very comfortable, roomy one bedroom apartment. It is on the first floor of a stone cottage. As well as clearly being considerate of guests needs, the hosts have a sense of humour with many quirky little touches of decor. The furnishings are cosy, with a mix of modern and vintage items. The kitchen and bathroom are modern, clean, well equipped and functional. The bed was very comfortable. High Terrace has good off-street parking. The location, in the quaint, attractive village of Boat of Garten was ideal for us; providing ready access to forest walks and other attractions.

Everything was great. Be aware that you'll need to climb a single, straight flight of stone stairs to reach the apartment. This wasn't a problem for us; it's par-for-the-course with a period cottage.

Very highly recommended. One of the best equipped and most comfortable apartments I've ever stayed.

Everything about the apartment was perfect. Access instructions were simple and straightforward, the place was immaculately clean and well presented and there was even a welcome gift of bread and eggs etc. The apartment has every amenity you could ask for and was very quiet and comfortable. Weekend getaway

Beautiful apartment located in a lovely village. The apartment was spotless and also the nice addition of some breakfast items left for our arrival. There are plenty of nice walks from the front door. In addition, you are a short drive local attraction such as the Highland wildlife park, loch morlich and the cairngorm mountain range.

Wonderful apartment

Apartment was spacious, decorated to a high standard, a lovely breakfast which included granola, eggs, fresh bread, butter and marmalade was set out on arrival. Along with various types of tea and a nespresso machine all tastes are catered for in the fully equiped kitchen. Bed was delightful so comfy had a great sleep. Great apartment in a lovely village in the Scottish highlands.

The apartment is a good size and impeccably set up, it’s super comfy. Small touches like a loaf of fresh bread, coffee pods and fresh milk made a difference. Also a shed to store my bike.

Spacious flat for 2 people with everything you could need. Lovely to have first breakfast provided. We thought the flat was perfectly laid out and especially liked the very comfy bed.

Fabulous Christmas break in Boat of Garten

Really well equipped. Cosy and warm with a super wood burning stove. Lovely to get bread, eggs and milk provided for breakfast !. Much appreciated. We didn't try the whisky selection but it looks fabulous 😀. Great location too.

Great apartment in a great location with hands-off, but obviously attentive hosts

High Terrace Apartment was everything my wife and I needed a week into our (until then hotel-based) trip to England and Scotland. We loved the property for its homey feel and how it gave us the freedom to wash our clothes, hang out and do nothing. It was also a great location for day trips to distilleries, castles and surrounding cities/towns like Elgin and Inverness. The place was impossibly clean. The proprietor Iona was always available via phone for questions and super helpful. When we were there, there was a well-stocked shelf of mid-range whiskies and Glencairn glasses. There was a jar to contribute for out samplings. We might have sampled more than the average bears and put in 40 pounds. :-). Great property that we would definitely stay at if we find ourselves in that neck of the woods again.

Beautiful and cosy apartment in a fantastic location!

This was a perfect find! We arrived with very easy access to the building and communication with Iona was incredibly quick and simple. There was a lovely selection of breakfast items waiting for us on arrival (and delicious too!). The apartment itself was absolutely lovely - it was modern and clean but also felt very warm and welcoming. The addition of wood burning stove was just great after long days out in the hills/cold. We were also provided with a huge array of whiskies to sample - we did not try these but I am sure they were delicious The location is perfect. Very close to Aviemore without the crowded feeling but also incredibly close to some beautiful woods if you don't want to travel far. I would thoroughly recommend this flat and would definitely stay here again if I visit in the future!
