Exceptional

Maybe a microwave oven might be good, but the other kitchen's eguipment was available.

Not so memorable

The apartment itself is of good size and has sufficient facilities. Note that there is only one a/c in the living room and not in the bedrooms.

Our otherwise amazing trip to Croatia was spoiled by the stay at Apt Nela. We were informed just the night before that some works were happening on the road and that we should take an alternative road to reach the apartment. When we arrived, we were stunned by the huge road works with heavy machinery right in front of the apt. We were guided to a nearby parking lot which was ok. The next morning we woke up to another shock of no running water. We had to leave the apt to a mall and only after we contacted the host we were offered to have some water bought from the store. Again we wish we were informed by the host since they have family living above the apt as soon as they knew about the water issue and not wait for us to contact the host or leave the apt. Third surprise was that the a/c stopped working and we had to leave the apt early since it was hot inside and loud and dusty outside with the road works. We had to communicate with the host to receive fans and push hard to get the issue resolved. The a/c was replaced next day which was fine. On our arrival we were told the road works would be completed within 2 days, we stayed 5 nights and it was not over even when we left. We had to vacuum several times since it was getting dusty easily with the road works. The communication from the host was mainly how it was not their fault and not apologetic at all for our inconvenience. We really wish we were informed earlier of the true extent of the road works and the host should have anticipated our inconvenience and offered a chance to change/ cancel the booking.

Exceptional

We a family of 5 stayed for 3 weeks in the apartment, the best we have had in many years, the hosting family were the kindest... Got a nice grilled fish as a present before we left, many many thanks!!!
