peace of paradise in a busy town

Beutiful, Tranquil and Peaceful!!!

This is a very beautiful place to stay in Penestanan, Ubud. I highly reccomend it if you love tranquility, fragrance and nature. Kadek, Putu and their children are wonderful helpful friendly hosts. Each morning they provide a delicious vegan breakfast. The first morning was banana pancakes made with banana flour, fruit salad and a giant pot of coffee. The second morning was 4 kinds of bruschetta. There is a gorgeous organic garden and a lovely swimming pool, too!!! My favourite part was seeing all the fireflies flashing in the jungle at night time!!! I recommend having a torch for night time as the pathways in the village are narrow with drainage on the sides. Cars cannot come here so Kadek kindly took my suitcase to my room on the back of his motorbike.

Beautiful nature escape from civilization.

The garden and lash vibes around the bungalow was exceptional. Beautiful way to wake up and feel it. To have breakfast in a cute place surrounded by Bali nature and sounds. Love love love. Very caring family and breakfasts were delicious and very nice. Kadek and Putu were very kind and accommodating. Thank you so much.

I experienced luck of AC in the room when the weather was to hot… and to much nature sounds in the beginning… But when it’s nice and refreshing after rain, it’s helping.

Peaceful and loving home surrounded by nature

I loved this little hut and the wonderful family running it. Tucked away in a beautiful garden filled with plants and animals. Don’t forget to watch for fireflies at night 💫 and take a little walk along the rice fields in the morning if you get the chance, such a breath of fresh air outside of the Ubud chaos. And everyone’s already raving about the breakfast in the reviews - it’s true, what a wonderful start to each day that was. Thank you 🫶

If you are very scared of bugs, geckos, frogs, etc, don’t go here. However they are very friendly and happy to live in harmony besides you :) Keep in mind the property is not accessible by car

Perfect little piece of heaven in beautiful Ubud

Garden and breakfast as highlights

Beautiful and spacious house in a gorgeous garden. Kadek was lovely and prepared a delicious healthy breakfast.

The kitchen used to prepare breakfast is attached to the house (i.e. noisy to sleep in) yet not accessible. The house is also close to the path, which can get busy with scooters at any point of the day or night...

Amazing place!!

It was an amazing time in Ubud. It was very tranquil, we could walk to several locations quite easily. The Hosts were amazing! The breakfast every morning was delicious. The pool, the gardens, we enjoyed every single moment there. Want to go again!

Perfectly away but not too far

This really felt like home. The staff were incredible. Amazing breakfast. Best of all, waking up with the sun poking through the lush vegetation and only hearing the wake up call of critters and birds. No traffics, not motor bikes, no roosters. I wish I could have stayed longer.

The mattress wasn’t that comfortable. That’s it!

I would definitely recommend Bali Firefly if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Penestanan.

Lovely breakfast, which was different every day. Kadek was very polite and helpful. Comfy bed and pillows. No issues with mozzies during my stay. Nice big lock box which will accommodate a laptop and everything else you might want to keep secure. Beautiful outdoor bathroom.

The outdoor chairs could be a bit more comfortable, but I'm just being picky.

Perfect spot to visit Ubud

This is a magical place out of the loud traffic jam of Ubud. The garden is amazing, the bamboo villa is clean and very cute, Kadek and his family are the perfect host. We liked everything but in particular: - the breakfast (everyday different and always vegan) - the relaxing vibes and the silence of the place - the neighbourhood with nice resto and lovely walk

Highly recommended!

My room turned out to be this charming cottage with an open air kitchen downstairs, and a cozy bedroom, balcony and outdoor shower upstairs. I also had what looked like my private pool! Breakfast was served at my balcony overlooking the garden. I loved how well appointed the room was. There were many shelves, hangers, multiple towels, books. It felt at home.

I completely fell in love with Bali FireFly BnB, for numerous reasons, and have recommended all my friends to stay there. My room/ villa was very comfortable, clean, cool, peaceful and simply luxurious. I loved feeling surrounded by nature and looking onto the most beautiful swimming pool. The BnB is so perfectly located with great restaurants in walking distance, and yet I never wanted to leave because of how happy I was in my villa! The BnB makes excellent recommendations for restaurants and activities. I tried as many of the recommended restaurants as I could and also got a massage! A extra special thanks goes to Kadek, who is very kind and generous and makes the most delicious breakfasts. He made me feel so at home.

This is a scam. Reviews are paid.

Nothing. It's basically a scam. Charging more than 4 star hotel and resorts. Location is different and trying to fool people by showing incorrect Google maps location near Ubud centre. It is actually 20 minutes away from the real location

Location, insects, value charged. I vacated property within 10 minutes and booked another accommodation. Requested for refund but no response. Cheap property should charge $5-$10 per night instead of $65.

We absolutely loved the place.

Wonderful garden and a beautiful pool. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. beautiful houses all build from natural materials. Felt like in the old days. Enjoying a drink or a coffee in the balcony or the terrace with view into the lush garden or the rice paddy fields.

Nothing not to like about this place. E aware though it does not have a/c but only fans. Not a problem when we were there as there is always a fresh brise and temperatures were not too hot.

Very good

Kadek and his wife really made our stay wonderful, from the beautiful breakfast every morning to the flowers on the clean tables every day. The bungalow was very spacious and offered beautiful outside areas overlooking the garden.

There was no gym, only a shed with some rusty weights, which was really a minus for us who had chosen Firefly psrtly because they saod they had one. The pool was also not very attractive.

A wonderful BnB set within spectacular gardens and tranquil location amongst the paddy fields, surrounded by wildlife. Excellent breakfast served in a beautiful spot by the pond. The best we had in Bali! Kadek was a friendly, kind and helpful host. Would definitely stay here again if ever back in Ubud

Wonderful villa good for 2-3 guests to stay for a retreat

The Bamboo villa is beautiful and fully equipped with books, water etc for a relaxing retreat. the outdoor bathroom is really a treat, and breakfast at the cabana is wonderful as well. Kadek and family are such good host, and the vegan breakfast was fantastic.

Paradise in Ubud - the best place we’ve ever stayed

Bali Firefly is paradise on earth! We were on our honeymoon, and Kadek and Puteh made it incredibly special for us. We stayed at the Bamboo Villa which was so beautiful and charming. The grounds are gorgeous and carefully tended. We had fantastic breakfasts served to us in the gazebo by the pond. The location is perfect - a peaceful haven surrounded by rice fields. This is one of the best places we have ever stayed and would 100% recommend it to anyone travelling to Ubud.

Great place, amazing value for the price!!!

This place was amazing and exceeded my expectations! Loved the large room, the outdoor showers and the seating area. The pool was quite lovely and the grounds are absolutely beautiful. The morning breakfast was nice and varied each morning we were there. Great service and nice places to eat are a short walk.

The only thing I wasn't expecting was pulling my luggage from the main street down the long path to the bnb. When we left, the guys gave us a lift so that was awesome!!

super advise for someone who want to relax and feeling the old Balinese life.

wonderful location, rooms very comfortable and so cute for being built like traditional old style construction. Big veranda with the panorama on the marvelous colored garden made by the local plants. the garden has a pond with a relaxing point and a swimming pool so nice and peaceful. Kadek was really welcoming and devoted, so helpfull to find you a driver and to let you organize your trips. Really one of the best local place where I’ve been in my life.

Magnificent place to stay just few minutes away from Ubud center. Yummy organic high-quality breakfast prepared by Kadek and his wife in Indonesian and continental style. Wonderful garden and pool maintened by Kadek with passion and dedication. All that you need for a peaceful rest. Absolutely recommended! Please spent some nights in Bamboo Villa (the biggest one), it looks like being in Tarzan 😄🥰

spacious and very comfy terrace, with lounge-chairs and a plush sofa. Cooking-facilities outside. Located in a lush garden, with enough privacy from the other 2 accommodations. Small pool and gym-area, privately tucked away in the garden. Very good (local) breakfast, prepared fresh every day by Kadek (the caretaker): every day something different, depending on the ingredients available. A couple of nice warungs nearby.

Downside of the beautiful garden is lots of mosquitos. House is of the 'open' style, so noise outside is heard quite well inside.
