Wonderful villa and host

The location of the villa is fantastic, with a wonderful view of the area. The host is really lovely and gave us a warm welcome, and took the extra care to make sure we settled in well. The bedroom and bathroom were big, with a lot of cupboard space. The pool was also great.

The AC seemed to have some issues and make loud noises after a few hours. Also, the bathroom doesn't have a door but rather a curtain. Can be an issue if you are needing some privacy.

A slice of Tuscan paradise

Podere Poggio al Sole is every bit as beautiful as you might imagine. From the moment you arrive, you're surrounded by beauty, from the charming views to the breathtaking infinity pool. Manola, was a gracious and attentive host who went above and beyond to make our stay special. She even offered to iron my dresses and prepared a delicious breakfast for us each morning. Her mother's homemade Margherita cake was delicious. Our only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer!

We loved Everything! It’s such a beautifully renovated and decorated place with so much love for detail. So much work went into the beautiful gardens as well! And the host and her mother are such kind and lovely people who made our stay that much nicer!

Beautiful property, friendly host and stunning pool!

The property is beautifully presented and the pool was amazing. The host and her elder mother were very warm and friendly, thy took great care of us and we enjoyed chatting to them. The breakfast was nice and good value. Our rooms had everything we needed and were styled nicely with comfy bed and nice bathroom/shower. AC and the pool were great as the weather was very warm. Perfect place to explore and/or just chill out at.

Authentic, comfortable, and idyllic.

The house is absolutely beautiful, with views to die for. We loved the authentic Italian feel, and the kindness of the people who ran it. They went out of their way to help us, and made sure we had a pleasurable stay.

It’s a long walk from town - but that’s not a negative really as you get a proper countryside experience, and if you have a car it is only a short drive. We unfortunately couldn’t hire one so walked in, but the walk itself in the evening wasn’t too bad as it was cooler. Taxis in the area are very expensive though - so a car or moped is needed really.

Authentic Italian experience.

The property is conveniently located at the foot of Montepulciano. The pool has an incredible view over the Tuscan countryside and you can view the town of Montepulciano in the distance. The host, Manola and her mother, are the sweetest ladies and they were so helpful. We had a wonderfully authentic Italian experience. We arrived late in the afternoon, and Manola prepared complimentary crostini and gorgeous vino Nobile to settle us in. Thank you again Manola, for being such a great host!

Beautiful Tuscan views, amazing grounds and swimming pool

Stayed 9 nights, no clean sheets offered, made to feel guilty about asking for extra loo roll or drop of milk (we’d had long journey). Grass overgrown. Italy is expensive but I did not think this was value for money.

This place is magical, amazingly well kept property, perfect Tuscan spot! The hosts are very welcoming and accommodating, we had a wonderful time and hope to come back soon! We highly recommend it!

The air conditioner broke during a heat wave which was very unfortunate. The heat was unbearable. The host tried to have it fixed but it didnt work out. I thought a room discount should be offered but it wasn’t and I felt that was a little unfair.

The villa is perfectly located, with a great view of Montepulciano. Manola and her mum are wonderful hosts and the whole experience was a happy and pleasurable one for our group of 9 ladies.
